We had the pleasure of using the QC room at 8670 Wilshire to screen our film with our producers, sound team, and Director, and we couldn't have been more happy with the experience and the setup. We were never rushed out after the screening ended, they even let us chat for a moment inside about our film as we got our thoughts together. From start to finish the space felt like ours for that hour and a half. Screen quality, sound quality, even the seats and ambiance... all that stuff was awesome.

Shoutout to Michael, Max, and Joe and the rest of the team for their attentiveness, flexibility, and willingness to accommodate our needs. They made sure everything ran smoothly, and their support behind the scenes made us feel taken care of. It was honestly a breeze and that is the kind of professionalism we look for in this industry.

The QC room was perfect for what we needed it to be. I don't have a single complaint. Easy recommendation.

On the one hand, the room itself is gorgeous and our projectionist did a great job screening the video we provided. On the other hand, the owner Michael was a real pain. He didn't acknowledge payment at first, so when we asked for confirmation of the room, he asked us to wire him the rental fee a second time. Only after we showed the receipt from the original transfer did he confirm the room. Then, we asked if we could bring the video file the day before our screening to make sure the file decoded and played. When we showed up at the day and time he told us to, he acted inconvenienced and tried to tell us he had never said we could come early. Only upon showing his own email directly to his face did he agree to take the flash drive with our video file.
On the night of our screening, the landlord had the garage gated off even though we had been promised use of the garage. The landlord also had the main door to the building locked from the outside, so we had to leave one staffer on the inside at all times to make sure we weren't locked out. Finally, even though we read all the rules for use of the room five times, Michael showed up on the night of the screening and threatened to cancel our rental because we were taking pictures out front. He claimed the landlord and the city wouldn't let us photograph on the sidewalk, but there's no reason that a restriction on photography shouldn't have been expressly included in the contract.
