It's not nearly as bad as many reviewers make it out to be. Yes the seats are the older style, not the luxury loungers that newer theaters have these days. But the seats were still comfortable, and clean. Like other reviewers, I recommend reserving your tickets and seats in advance and getting there after the start time. In our case, there were 22 minutes of ads and previews. The screen and sound were good, the worker was friendly. We didn't buy any concessions. We had a great time and I'm grateful to have a theater like this close to home.

Sound was good, the seats were comfortable enough. The issue was and seemingly is based upon other reviews is... Nearly unbearable 30 minutes of commercials, ads and previews. Literally 30 minutes. If your move is set to start at 740, you can safely arrive at 8:10 for the movie to actually begin. There needs to be a disclaimer somewhere about this.

There was a mix up on my tickets and I received the wrong ticket times and I didn’t realize it until 1/2 way into Moana. 🙂 Calvin at Auburn,CA theater was so kind and helped me get refunded and even let me watch the other 1/2 of the movie! He saved a customer!

Went and saw wicked since everything else was booked in Sacramento and in Roseville and it was a great theater tucked away in Auburn! it’s almost worth the 30 minutes to drive there! The only thing I did not like is I had to wait in the concession line as we were already running late to get my tickets. I wish they had a fandango machine for a quicker process

The Auburn Regal Theater has changed quite a bit since before covid. You now purchase tickets online and it's assigned seating. Which I am not a fan of, since you could be stuck sitting next to someone who doesn't have theater etiquette. If you choose not to order tickets before you arrive at the theater, you'll have to stand in line at the snack bar, it is still assigned seats. The medium size Coke and popcorn can be easily shared between two people. The theater was clean and the seats were comfortable. There's no longer cheap Tuesday priced tickets, instead they have matinee prices. Also, movies are no longer listed on the boards, instead you have to check your ticket for which theater to go to. I wish the movie started at time stated. Sitting for 30 minutes to see a child movie to start is a bit much for the young ones or anyone actually. Workers are pleasant. Clean seating are.

What has happened to this place? What has happened to regal? Just 5 years ago I rated this place a 5 out of 5. Now it's lucky it gets a 2. I feel so bad for the worker tonight, he was working alone while his other coworker was just standing around not helping out the line. The worker needed help from the boss and even called out on a walkie talkie and the boss didn't come. So we had leave because the poor solo worker could not help us with our tickets (tickets we got from the Roseville regal because their terrible gross theater was so dirty we literally had to leave.) As we were leaving we saw them not be able to help another customer and then the boss finally walked inside the building to help I guess he was outside Pretty sure management is supposed to stay in the building. Anyways, seriously regal use to be the best but they just don't care anymore. Think I'm going to have to find a new theater chain.

We stopped by here to watch a movie December 29 2024, the showing started at 01:15, we watched commercials, movie trailers, more commercials for 29 minutes before the movie started at 01:44… after being enraged for the last 30 minutes of movie theater wasting our time we walked out and requested a refund. It’s ridiculous that I have to wait 30 minutes to watch a movie, if you have commercials for 30 minutes prior to movie, put in an ACTUAL movie start time and don’t waste our time. Never coming here again.
