We were towed to this garage by M & M Wreckers after a break down on the highway. We had blown a hose in our GMC 4500 and lost all our coolant. It was 100 degrees out. We were traveling from Houston to Chicago. It was Sunday, Labor Day weekend. We were at their mercy for how long and how much. We knew nothing about this garage. Ken the owner came thru for us. Got it done on Monday, Labor Day by noon and at a great price. He even came to pick us up at the hotel in town we got for the night. Thank you Ken!

I do not recommend coming to this shop. Us choosing to come to the shop was a huge mistake. My driver experienced an issue with our transmission grinding. At the request, we asked the shop to install a reman transmission because that should have been the quickest option. Mind you, we stated that we were under a hot load and just so you know, we own a transportation business and a diesel repair business, so I understand all the literature of owning a repair shop.

The shop owner told me that it would take 2 days to receive the transmission. And it should take one day to replace it. Long story short, this turned into two weeks. The situation cost me a lot of money. The owner of the shop was not truthful to me. I looked bad with my customer by stating that it would take one day, then it turned into taking 2 days, and then it turned into two weeks...

On the very last day, the owner took my truck on a test drive after installing the transmission. He then notifies my driver that the leveling valve is broken. The leveling valve was never broken the moment that the truck came to the shop. When I called and spoke to the shop owner, I asked him was it possible that they broke it when they were lifting the vehicle to allow clearance for the transmission removal. He said no, it happened when it came in on a tow truck, that's funny; it never came in on a tow truck, my driver drove it there.... Anyway, I was at their mercy; I told him, please proceed with replacing the leveling valve.

To replace a leveling valve, I know that takes no more than 20 minutes; he ended up having a leveling valve in stock; they installed it. Then stated that the leveling valve they had was not working. I had my driver call multiple parts places and ended up finding one. I had my driver go pick one up and bring it back to the shop to replace it with the one that they had that did not work.

I ended up getting the invoice. I reviewed it. Let me just say this is the most crooked shop I've ever been to in my life. For one, he was charging me $169 for the leveling valve that did not work, and he did not want to remove it, he was charging me $205 for environmental disposal. That was insane! He was charging me $205 to dispose of my 5 gallons transmission fluid. That's 100% markup than what new transmission fluid costs. I had to lecture him on environmental exposal, should only cost $1.10 a gallon. He did not know that and still did not take off the environmental fee, I know how much a reman transmission cost. They cost $4,400. He charged me almost $6,000 for a reman. I understand Markups but that's price gouging!

He then was charging me a fee for shop supplies and miscellaneous. I do not understand how he does not know that miscellaneous fees and shop supplies are the same thing and fall into the same category. He charged me over $400 in miscellaneous charges. That absolutely makes no sense. I tried to explain to him that you do not charge a miscellaneous fee on parts and labor. Miscellaneous fees are only charged on labor. The reason why is because you put no labor into building the part. This was a reman transmission, it was a takedown and install with plug-and-play sensors. All he needed to do would be to top it off transmission fluid, and it's ready to go.

this was one crooked man in a crooked shop. He should 100% be shut down. The way he takes advantage of people is un-American.

the lack of transparency and integrity shown by the shop owner is appalling. It's unacceptable to mislead customers about the duration of the repair, then inflate the bill with unnecessary charges..
The consequences of dealing with such an unscrupulous business can be financially devastating. There are plenty of reputable repair shops out there that value their customers and provide honest, quality service. Take your business elsewhere.
my experience with this shop has been a nightmare. The owner's dishonesty, lack of professionalism, and utter disregard for customer satisfaction make it a business that should be avoided at all costs.

I had a fuel pump power supply issue, Gustavo - Gus the mechanic found easier and cheaper solution for me. He put the wire str8 from my batteries to the fuel pump so that way I know it will run fine since I was in the rush didn't wanna wait for him to find where's the actual disconnection. Decent people, no attitude willing to work for and with you, not against you. Labor hour 105$ plus the material and 3% transaction fee if you're paying with card. More than fair.

Thank you KD Truck people!

I have been a Truck driver for some time but NEVER had to deal with a business and an owner like this one. IF YOU HAVE DEEP POCKETS AND WANT TO SATISFY THE APPETITE OF A CROOK WITH A FRONT STORE- YOU FOUND HIM.
The owner want to charge me 7.5 hrs at $150/hr for changing a Steering Rod which only has two joints to open and takes Less than 2 Hrs to replace it. After long unpleasant phone call he ended up charging me 4.5 hrs and added MISC and Environmental which came to over $100.
All in all I ended up paying for this service $1,769.10 which included parts of $597.

I was charged $90 for picking up the parts but added 1hrs to my bill for picking it up.
Well, either charge me the pick up cost or the hour to
Pick it up. WHY BOTH?

That is NOT expensive, THAT is GAUGING AND CRIMINAL, to say the least.

The young mechanic he sent me(JACOB) was a very pleasant young man and did his job in ONE AND HALF HOUR. I helped him and had him use my Tools too. Should I charge MISC AND Environmental on my end too?

This store is what gives a BAD name to our transportation industry.
All I can say is —- a CROOK is a CROOK regardless of age and this owner Qualifies for that name.

That is my two sentences about this business.
USE IT FOR YOUR OWN RISK!
