Th food was good, the atmosphere was fine, but the service was so-so. The build your own omelet and the eggs Benedict were delicious! The servers were friendly enough and took orders and brought food just fine, but did not check with us as drinks emptied and as time passed. If they had been really busy, I would have understood the inattention. But, perhaps there is another reason. This is a place that adds a 22% tip surcharge to the bill, and you may add more if you want. So servers are already guaranteed a tip regardless of their service. The explanation on the table said the surcharge was to raise the minimum the restaurant was paying to a more livable standard, which I also understand. However, it would behoove the owners to pay the better hourly rate they are talking about, and let customers decide the size of their own tips.

Had a yummy sister brunch today (protein scramble, pancakes and an avocado toast) and loved the menu, atmosphere and service.
I appreciated the detailed 22% gratuity explanation (printed for every table) and think the staff and kitchen staff definitely deserved it ?
Hoping to be back

Today was my first time trying Prelude and it was by far one of the best brunches I’ve ever had. We got the pancake flight and huevos rancheros and they were both amazing! Service was great and it came out fast!

We had a great breakfast here! We got pancake flights and some eggs on the side. The eggs were cooked perfectly and tasted so fresh. Every pancake on the flight was a different fantastic flavor. I highly recommend the one with strawberry and lemon! Michael was a great server and kept us well supplied with water, coffee, and friendly service

This was our first time visiting Fayetteville and I had read Prelude was a must. Reviews weren’t wrong! My sister and I both got the pancake flights and they did not disappoint. Of course, the amazing service from Jacob was the best part! He couldn’t have been anymore welcoming to us out-of-towners. Would definitely recommend.

Went to eat here for breakfast this morning. I had one of their omelettes and my friend had the protein bowl with a side of pancakes. All I can say is WOW. Food 10/10 and the service was excellent. Thank you Prelude staff, will be back.

Let’s start off with why this place should get five stars: their food is tasty, fresh, and the service was on point and friendly. It was just me and I ordered the mini stack of pancakes, eggs, potatoes, toast with a glass of apple juice. However, when I got the check, my culinary delight came to an end.

My breakfast came to $33. Even though I wasn’t a party of 6 or more, they automatically added a service charge of 22%. And that glass of apple juice was basically an oversized shot glass and cost $5. Now, my fault for ordering the juice without looking at the menu. I know orange juice can get pricey, especially if a restaurant freshly squeezes it on the premises, but apple juice We’re talking the sugary store bought variety, not some fancy natural juice. Basically the sticker shock and forced gratuity, ruined what could’ve been a wonderful breakfast as I headed out of town. Should I ever return to Fayetteville, I certainly won’t return here. Because as good as the food was, it was not worth $33.
