the waiter was excellent and so kind with us! we close to sit down, instead of grill. this was our first time eating here. the sushi was great, we finished it all. our main food on the other hand, wasn’t. it had a chemically, bad aftertaste as if they didn’t clean soap off the grill. we finally figured out what was so wrong, the food was freezer burnt. we are lucky we didn’t get sick, none of us ate a lot of our food and when we got home we threw it out…we couldn’t get over that gross taste. it had great seasonings and flavors, just the food itself was off. great environment, great waiter, horrible food.

This was our first visit here. Our waitress was excellent. We loved the ginger dressing on the salad, and the Onion Soup was so simple, but so yummy! Our food was pretty good. We did NOT like the fried rice, though. It had an odd taste that we couldn't put our finger on. We took it home with our other leftovers, but ended up tossing it out.
We will go back, but will stick to sides and/or appetizers.

First time ever at a Hibachi grill. The cooking display was a great first-time experience, and the food itself was great. We even got lucky and were seated with a very lovely couple that made the experience even better. This was also the first time I had Saki, and I must say, hot wine is not something I expected.

Overall, this was a great place. Awesome for something new, a bit of a change of pace. Highly recommend at least giving it a go.

Typical Japanese Hibachi restaurant.

TL:DR
If you've been to any similar restaurant, you know what this will taste like. Solid options with consistent taste, but nothing special or standout about it.

Detail:
Headed here because it was near our hotel, and we were seated immediately - it was not busy at all, just a few other people on a Monday night.

The menu is the typical, rice and noodles dishes, various combinations of meats from the grill, and the regular salad and soup.

I had the Teriyaki chicken, fried rice, salad, and soup. All were good, and the Teriyaki flavor was heavy, they didn't hold out on that.

The only downside was that nothing really stood out about any of it. If I pay $20 bucks for a meal, I usually expect it to be an outstanding one, and this was just typical.

No reason not to go here, but no reason to rush out and fight for a table either.

Nice hibachi and sushi place in Batesville. My friends had the hibachi and they said 9t was good. I had two sushi rolls, they were pretty good. 4 out of 5. Enjoyable atmosphere.

This restaurant is more pricey than similar restaurants in the area, but the quality of the food is so much better. The service was friendly, and the food was delicious. The decor was cute, and the tables were spaced out nicely for us to sit and enjoy our meals. Based on food quality, this is one of the best options in Batesville. Give it a try if you are in the area!
