Went there to see Mod Sun had a amazing time. Show was on second floor which gave it a more intimate feeling. Cant wait for him to come back and play again.
1. I Highly recommend seeing Mod Sun.
2. Would definitely go back to the Complex again. It was centrally located to restaurants, and other useful buisness.

I would like to echo Jade. I felt like this place was a bit of a health hazard the way it was so enclosed and seemingly only one way in and out. It was extremely hot and the $20 cover to see Mario was not worth my time. So about Mario, I used to really appreciate him and his odes to love when I was a youth. But tonight during his performance he decided to open his mouth and spread prejudice talking about his preference for lightskinned/redbone women -- on stage. I'm sorry I didn't pay $20 and wait 2hrs to hear him talk ‍♀️ , so I'm like what. Then, he precedes to call the lightskinned women up on the stage to dance around him. I was surprised that being in Oakland that the organizers of the club didn't stop that mess. Here is a picture. Mario disappointed ? and I won't be going to Complex anytime soon.

Took my daughter to see Nascar Aloe, Dirty Butt, Cole, and more, for her 17th birthday, and despite being rained on, the venue was quite nice. We had a great time!

It's a nice venue, but they aLwAyS pack it to full capacity, & there's NO air conditioning. There's NOT enough fans to cool off. My entire group & I were soaking wet with sweat ? due to the lack of proper ventilation. One of the girls left before the performer got up on stage because it was SO HOT ? she felt like she was going to pass out. ? The crowd control is very disappointing. I almost got pushed down the stairs from 3 flights up.

The staff is very nasty! Especially the big guy and the chick at the front. Also, the elevator was out! This building has probably 60 stairs and they're steep. Not disabled friendly... And they didn't even care. Also, had I known the elevator didn't work plus no seating? I would have spent my Halloween somewhere else. This was a complete disaster I can't stress enough how rude the staff is.

Very interesting venue to say the least. First time here to see Drain Gang, a sold out show. The doors seems to be open at 9pm, same time we formed in line which went around the entire block, both start and end of the line were touching. We finally made it inside around 10:30pm, no COVID cards were checked, and after entering the whole building was CROWDED. The show was on the third floor, the stairway was steep. Bathrooms weren't well maintained which was okay there were so many people there. The second floor had a restaurant of some sort, folks were eating at a diner which was cool that it was a shared building? Anyways, the third floor was absolutely CROWDED. Again, it was a sold out show, so the entire third floor was SHAKING and felt like it would collapse any second. Only three FANS, no AC, and a small bar on the side with two bartenders. It was very humid and difficult to breathe during the whole duration of the show. Overall the most crowded and anxious concert experience I've had, so far.

It wasnt crowded. There were 6 TVs showing the game. They had Jenga and other games on the tables. They have specialty drinks and the food came at a decent time. The food was real good. We ordered the pineapple with beef and shrimp, chicken and waffles, lamb chops, and mac and cheese. All were delicious.

Great venue. Through a birthday party here. It was the most affordable option. DJ was lit. Crowd was live. Our waitress was really cool. It was packed on Halloween night. I've also attended other events there and its always fun. Only problem is parking sucks downtown. Use ride sharing if you can.
