Being searched at the concession stand while I’m spending $40 for snacks was insulting, but other than that it’s usually a pleasant experience. Sometimes the popcorn is hard and old and I’ve had to have them remake it, but that’s rare. The theaters and bathrooms are always clean and well kept.

The best things I can say is that the theater is clean, seats are comfortable. Sound is good.
The Theater is too cold! If they are a cashless venue, they need to let people know before they attend. I asked for change for a twenty for my grandsons to play games, and was told that they do not make change.
Snacks are outrageous! I bought 1 medium popcorn, two medium drinks, one small popcorn and one box of whoppers = 33 dollars. It’s popcorn for heaven sake! Then the salt was too cakey to put salt on it. Not sure that we will be back here.

Today my wife & I went to see the movie Reagan. Before I get started on my ticket buying experience, the movie was AWESOME! I recommend it to everyone!
Here’s what we experienced buying tickets. I walked up asking for 2 tickets to Reagan. The girl at the counter said she needed to see inside my wife’s purse, I said; No you don’t, it’s an invasion of privacy. Then she got the manager. He came out, told me it was company policy to search purses. I asked him if he had a search warrant. He said no but it was written company policy. I asked him where it was written. He told me it was on the front door. It was on the door & I read it. They want to search purses for weapons & snacks! ? I went back in & the manager said we could take the purse out to our vehicle or leave. My wife took her purse out.
How Ridiculous! So, I am recently retired & wanted to do something fun & see a good movie! This ruined our Fun time!!
Did they think we were going to smuggle a weapon, snacks or drinks into the movie? Stupid!! Well, the prices for drinks, popcorn, & snacks are OUTRAGEOUS, but we all know that from the other posts.
Well, we paid, went toward the theater & I turned around & asked the manager if he wanted to search the pockets in my cargo shorts! He said no, they don’t do that!! Well, that will be next!! We’ll probably have to take our shoes off too!! ?
If we go back, guess where I’m going to hide my snacks!! Ha, ha!! ?
I am 66 years olds, born & raised in Jasper. No other place in town do we have to open a purse to show contents. What is happening to our town!
I hope the OWNER of this theater reads these reviews because most are negative. Maybe some changes need to be made?
Also, if you wouldn’t charge so much for the drinks & snacks, you might sell more! You need to have your National Sales Manager evaluate what is going on at all your theaters!!. Here’s a novel idea, if you get good or great reviews, your profits might increase. ? ?
BTW, my father worked for the contractor that built this theater. I was in it when they were painting the walls, putting on the wallpaper & staining the concrete floors.
I thought it was an awesome addition to Jasper, IN.
I knew the previous owners.

Seats are great. Ive been a few times. 1st time with me hubby and our 2 boys and they didnt ask to search my fanny pack. The next time i go to movies myself and the dude asks me to show him whats in my fanny pack.... i showed him and hung up my jacket in the air and said u wanna search the pockets... he just walked away. Today i went by myself and the dude didnt ask but i opened my fanny pack wide so he could see it in a defiance way before he could even ask. I get it if your gonna check everybody which is still messed up but dont single some people out to check and not others and especially if someone has a small fanny pack on lol theres no room to hide snacks even if i wanted to. The guy that got my tickets was the same guy each time i went and hes not friendly in any way.

The recliners are very uncomfortable in any position! There is not enough padding in the seat or back, and way too much in the headrest. The popcorn sucks ever since Showplace took it over. The kernels are smaller and do not pop to the fullest, so you are always biting down on kernels.
