This theatre has significantly gone down hill in recent years. Everytime I return this theater looks a little sadder. There is a thick layer of grease behind the popcorn popper. Things on the walls covered in dust. There used to be places to sit in the lobby and they’re all gone. The women’s bathroom was gross. The sinks used to be white but looks like they havnt been scrubbed in years. A missing tile in the ceiling showing insulation in the roof. It’s really disappointing to see this beautiful place not being taken care of.

I realize that there is a sign that states: NO OUTSIDE BEVERAGES. I brought my special water with me and should have stuck it in my backpack 🎒. We were early for the showing of “All the Pain” so I had my bottle with me. No sooner had we sat down in front of the concession stand, that the Manager, Dave confronted me about bringing in my own drink, by harassing me and saying: “ You have to buy something from the concession stand and don’t ever bring your own drink with you again.” He was really offensive. He could have just stated in a calm and customer friendly manner that it was the policy of the theater that outside beverages were not allowed 🚫. He really let me have it.
I love the movies at The Tower Theater. The selection of movies is so much better than the larger chain theater groups. There are three more movies that were part of the previews that I am definitely going to see.

One other thing that would be great is if the Tower Theater put something online asking for the community to get together to help with an upgrade to the theater. New retro carpeting, painting, new bathroom fixtures,
new seating for the smaller screening rooms, etc. I’m sure that local businesses would contribute their services and there could also be a donation request.

Beautiful landmark cinema with a great selection of films. Unfortunately the management is awful. The manager made me put my water bottle back in my car today so that the snack bar could sell me a $5 Dasani. A courtesy cup of water is a shot glass size, so this is all obviously a ploy. Pretty disgusted—I’ve been supporting this theater for a decade. It’s 95° outside, god forbid I stay hydrated without paying for overpriced plastic.

Bathrooms haven't been updated since the Eisenhower administration. The entire place is dirty and worn down.

At the entrance, you're welcomed by grumpy scrawled notes that warn you about the dire consequences of bringing in water. Kinda sets the tone.

This was the first and last visit for us.

The Suave Sultan

A beautiful historic theater built in the late 1930s. It specializes in foreign and indie films, and also does regular showings of the infamous cult classic “The Room,” which are a total blast. The staff is extremely helpful and friendly. They also serve alcohol along with delicious popcorn and other snacks. Definitely a true Land Park landmark.
