No slushie machine that I could see. Sound system is not great for 2024. Best popcorn in theaters according too my grandkids. Beer and wine. Workers have a great attitude.The lobby area has a picture history walk through. If I lived closer it would be my number 1 stop for a theater experience.

Friendly staff. Great movies. The seating very comfortable. The movie selection geared toward more mature patrons. Nomad was the first movie my wife and I have seen in a theater in a long time, followed by a few more. We just watched Spencer. Summerfield Cinemas is the only theater my wife and I go to. We feel safe here and it is close to where we live. The shows are never crowded, and there is always plenty of space from other theater guests.

I came here to enjoy the movie everywhere all at once. And had a great experience. The staff was friendly and the theater was clean. I was very comfortable and enjoyed the movie. I'll definitely be returning for another movie some other time.

The landlord and/or City of Santa Rosa want to tear down this landmark and replace it with a dime-a-dozen chain gym. Don't let this happen! Theaters like this add arts, culture, and life to communities

This is a wonderful theater, massive auditorium with comfy modern (yet retro looking) seats. They show independent films, they provide a meeting place for film lovers, and they let anyone, of all ages, come together for a shared event that is going to see a film on the big screen.

There is history literally on the walls at this theater. It is clean and expertly decorated and yet it as an aroma of a vintage bookstore. I know everything is streaming now, but movie theaters are still important. Taking your family out is a shared experience you all remember, going on first dates, ot 1000th dates to the Movies is always wonderful. Being in a room of people watching and reacting to the same piece of art as you gives you perspective, empathy, and increases your sense of humor. For people who suddenly find themselves alone innlife a theater like this provides a safe space to be alone and social at the same time. For people chronically alone (by choice or not) it is an event that yoy can happily enjoy alone as you are never truly alone at the theater.

Places like this connect us to a past before digital everything, before all entertainment could fit on a tiny rectangle in our pocket. They remind us of a time before, when we had to come together as communities to entertain ourselves, as was the case of the vast, vast majority of human existence.

Don't let this place go away. Come here. Post about it. Remind people of the inherent value it gives. The rich history. The nostalgia. The connection from past to future.

There are a million gyms, there is already a small gym right behind the theater. Not to mention we have all of the outdoors to walk, run, hike, swim, bike, climb, and explore in for exercise. A chain gym would ruin the neighborhood, it would be a loss to the community, for people who've lived their whole lives here and for those, like myself, who have just started to have the chance to call Santa Rosa our new home. A gym here might make money, but that money goes to some corporation headquartered far from Santa Rosa. That money goes to investors all over the world. That money is sucked out of our community and given to people who have more money, already, than they could spend in a hundred lifetimes.

We only get one chance, one time, to save historic and important places like this. And now is that chance. Now is that time. Save the Summerfield and Save Santa Rosa
