Terrible Rewards Program Purchase Tracking

Recently attempted to return what tasted like a stale food item. Although I used my rewards ID to purchase the item, I paid cash and lost the receipt. CVS management denied the return because CVS reportedly cannot track and verify reward member purchases unless a debit or credit card is used.

Such an oversight, if true, is disgraceful and poor customer service. Home Depot and Safeway track rewards program purchases by date and item as well as a whole host of other shopper information that is win-win for store and member. When those rewards members lose a receipt, returns are easily managed through the member rewards program. No fuss with Home Depot and Safeway returns.

Shame on CVS for such poor rewards program management.

Soooo, spent an overnight in the Stanford ER. My choice of pharmacies is COSTCO Foster City. However there was a discrepancy regarding the topical strength of a medication but for ease the MD’s assistant said she called in my script to this pharmacy (CVS Foster City). At first blush I thought to myself that this could become a better alternative to Costco until it quickly DEVOLVED! A customer got into a shouting match w 3 employees to start. Then after waiting patiently for some 30 minutes, I got to the front of the line only to be told I have to get on another line regarding my insurance. I went to the “insurance line” only to be ADMONISHED by the Ind an ian lady b/c I had the audacity to ask about mineral oil & citrucel while she was working on the insurance. Regarding those 2 items she told me to “find them by myself” and this was my first time in this store. She directed me to aisle 7. I was then told by this lady that a that I would have to wait in line AGAIN. All in all, waiting in line was about 1 and 1/2 hrs for 1 script & 2 OTC !!!
First impressions are LASTING IMPRESSIONS! This was my first time in this store.
Don’t think I will return here any time soon!

I asked a question about Covid tests being free by insurance to Ruby and got a satisfactory response. I didn’t have a prescription so I bought one with cash. I asked Tuyen, who was very nice, if any discount is available with insurance while I was buying one. I haven’t been following the costs of these things between my parents getting them for free and all the free ones that were given out, and just wondered. I thought maybe there’d be a slight discount. Tuyen didn’t know and asked Ruby who literally yelled at me, I already told you no! She used a very rude and nasty tone and said other stuff in a very disrespectful tone. You would expect differently, especially when people not specially trained ask a fairly reasonable question. Even though it’s a pharmacy, we are still guests who make the corps $$, and this reflects poorly on everyone

Sweet grey haired lady is too soft spoken and has very thick Asian accent to be easily understood. Simple pick up proved difficult, and her attempt to explain new procedure for picking up prescriptions was laborious.

Called to tell CVS I do not need to pick up prescription since I still had 2 months supply; I pushed buttons for 12 minutes & never spoke to a human; finally, message given to me to give my phone number & they would call within an hour; connecting with a pharmacist is impossible😡

The pharmacy help needs smarter, more knowledgeable/caring people. Told them cancel a prescription, but got 2 days later, your prescription is ready. It should not be my problem/job to keep them in line to update my prescription. What are you paying them for!?!

I was helped by a sweet young lady who was very pleasant & helpful. I know it's their job to assist customers but that extra effort of just simply being nice goes a long way.
I forgot to catch her name so I looked at my receipt & it showed that I was helped by "MA VANESSA". Please thank her for making my experience delightful!

I needed an approval/authorization for a prescription with my insurance. However, the pharmacy took it upon themselves to contact my doctor and request an alternative prescription without my consent.
