The best place to rent a camera and stand/accessories! We wanted to capture photos on this trip that our phones wouldn’t be able to capture, but didn’t want to invest thousands on equipment that we might not use again.

Tom and Wendy are the most kindhearted people I’ve ever met! Not only were we able to rent a camera from them as total newbies to cameras, Tom also pre-set the camera for us (so we just had to point and shoot the photos), and spent 30 minutes answering all our questions and explained how to use the camera. He really went above and beyond to make sure that our pictures would come out great!

The night we were going out Aurora hunting, Wendy also gave us directions on where we could go to find clear skies to take pictures of the Aurora, and what time they might come out. She showed me what apps to use and how to interpret the data. We didn’t need to spend any money on a tour! we ended up, making lifelong friends, not to mention the rental price was so much less than how much it would’ve cost us to buy a brand new camera, and a stand, and all the accessories!!

If I could give a million stars, I would! I hadn't been able to grab a wide angle lens before our trip to Alaska. I had tried to photograph the northern lights with my 50mm and it just wasn't looking great. I looked for a camera supply store and found Alaska Camera Rental and was able to rent a 14mm 2.8 (something I could never afford normally) for just $25 for the day. I got some of the BEST shots I've ever taken in my life because of this lens and the team at Alaska Camera Rental! I am so proud of the photos I got and it would have been absolutely impossible for them to look this good without the rentals they offer. If you're considering trying a new lens or forgot to bring the right equipment, they 100% have you covered. They also are a wealth of knowledge with tips of shooting the Northern lights and beyond. I HIGHLY recommend you check them out and I cannot wait to come back to Fairbanks and use them again. THANk YOU!

Highly recommend Tom and his gear. He is very knowledgeable and informative. I rented a Nikon setup to capture the Northern Lights. He configured all the key setting and helped guide me through all the settings I needed to adjust. Thanks to him we ended up getting amazing pictures of our trip.

Tom is very friendly and knowledgeable. You will feel like you are renting it from a friend. He gives the camera already setup, suggests you the best places to take a picture and has answers to ALL your questions. I would also recommend making an online reservation so that you get what you are seeking. The charges are fairly nominal.

If you have some time and Tom is not busy, ask Tom for his northern lights vids, you will be mind blown.
