I am a new transplant to Soulard who doesn't know anyone. I've been in to Bastille a few times. The bat, bartenders and patrons have all been wonderful. Love the music videos that play with the music. Got treated to an awesome drag show that I didn't know was happening until right before. Made my night! Drinks are very reasonably price, clean restrooms and very close to home. Highly recommend

I had an absolutely delightful dining experience, largely thanks to Allie our fantastic waiter. Allie was incredibly sweet, attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable about the menu. Their recommendations were spot-on, and they ensured that our dining experience was nothing short of exceptional. Thanks again to Allie and the entire team for making our visit memorable. I cannot express how much fun i have had at Bastille. The bartenders and the customers have been Amazing the times we've been there. Great service and drinks consistently every time. Can't wait till next time.

Love this bar. It's been my go-to in Soulard for over a year now. The bartenders are all great. Kyle and Mark on the back patio are awesome--two of my favorites. When you get a cocktail or a shot, they don't go light with the alcohol and they are inexpensive. Definitely recommend this place. LGBTQIA+ staple in Soulard.

Came to play pool and have a drink. Back area with the pool table smelled so bad of a dead animal/cat urine that after five minutes we couldn't take it anymore. Mentioned this to the bartender who denied it. Smell was so bad it stuck to my clothes hours after leaving. Horrific.

I used to come to this bar years ago with friends and it was decent. My two most recent visits with this bar were the worst bar experiences I’ve ever encountered. The owner in the wheelchair is very rude and clearly stated to my friends and I that he was not fond of ‘our kind’ and when we mentioned how it sounded racist……he told us he would hang from the same tree we did so he couldn’t be racist smh. The second most recent experience, the bartender was extremely rude and when I voiced that…..he had his friends jump me outside of the bar. Sad to say, I used to like going to this bar with my friends. But the bartender and owner definitely shouldn’t be there if they plan on running a good business. I’ve spent hundreds of dollars on my friends and I there. Safe to say I will never return. Mostly because I don’t drink anymore, but also because there are wayyyy better LGBT bars here in STL! Trust me!

The only time I went here, one of the managers was drunk and was being incredibly creepy and rude when he was talking to me. I won't be coming back here.
