This place definitely used to be a house at one time. I was a little worried after looking it up on Google, but turned out to be pretty cool little spot. Seems like there was a lot of neighborhood people in there eating the food looked really good not a lot to choose from but they have some specials sandwiches, regular bar food. They have a lot of different, specialty beers around the area. The bartender was really nice & knowledgeable. The one thing I could say at this place needs is a new bar top other than that pretty cool spot & not a bad location.

Boathouse was definitely a better experience than what my husband and I encountered about six years ago. The previous owner's friend who was an organizer of a reunion at the dive bar berated me in an email about my husband's conduct and that people complained about the smoke and noise coming out of our vehicle. I never gone back after that incident.

This time around the new owner was friendly and pleasant. I had the shrimp ceviche tostada and two street tacos. My husband had the spicy tuna panini. For a dive bar, the food was great.

The ambiance is nicer and it is not lit. It is also cleaner. They have a pool table at the end of the bar. There is an outdoor dining area in front of the bar.

Definitely we will return for future visits.

Nice neighborhood gem for drinks and friendly service.

Stopped by on a Sunday afternoon for a bite and a brew. We were greeted by the nicest bartender. I didn't catch her name, but extremely personable and helpful.

Was glad to see that they had a Fieldworks Hazy on tap. Will be back for sure.

We also ordered birria tacos that were decent. The chunks of pork were a little too big and dry for my liking, but I was eyeing other items on their menu for next time.

A pirate’s trasure.The food is stellar. Please try the recently added club sandwich. Way beyond the traditional club. A melt beyond expectations.

A local gem for sure. Atmosphere is what every local joint aspires for. And the Reuben is excellent!! And they have a pool table in great condition, as well as fun people to play a few rounds with.

Boathouse is the perfect local bar. Great beer and wine selection. Owners are beyond friendly and amazing. Energy is chill and relaxing. Inside or outside seating. Pool table. Great mix of music. Food. Bartenders work their tails off. And dog friendly!!!

Excellent dive bar,really good food and great service. They also have a pool table, a requirement for exceptional dive bar status. Cheap drinks and food as well. Will definitely be back.

Don't be intimidated by the storefront this place great for a laid back hang out. They have sports on the TV's and the bartender is top notch. They accept cash and card. They also have weekly pool tournaments. Highly recommend anyone living in Alameda to stop by. Have not tried their food but will be sure to write a review once I do!
