Best show in town until Aug 28. Alegria is stunning show among many of Cirque du Soleil! Only a few days of performance left in Sacramento. There are plenty of seats available from a shows until August 28, 2022 and you could get a same day ticket for $39-$49 ($2 service fee) at the Box office (better price than online). If you’ve never seen Cirque du Soleil, you owe to yourself a treat.
If you’re within 1.5-hr driving distance from Sacramento, forget about waiting until the show comes to SF because just driving a little over an hour from Bay Area to Sacramento was so easy and per ticket price was a lot cheaper. And less worry about the danger of traveling to SF. There are public parking next to the big tent and a plenty of excellent restaurants in Downtown near by. I’ve seen 4 other Cirque du Soleil shows in SF/LA in the past 25 years and this was the best experiences so far.
Some of the art directions on this show were so stunning, beautiful and creative that I was breathless. I don’t want to describe them because it will spoil your experience. Let’s say it has something to do with lights & wind. Even the sight of setting up the last act was the incredibly fascinating to me (perhaps not to be noticed by all). Because it demonstrates the most challenging engineering feats that Cirque du Soleil creators had to come up with for the final set. Brilliance of these designers who need to solve the limits of the space, art, performers, safety, traveling tent and the audience are mind blowing.
Like all the shows by Cirque du Soleil, all acts require the incredible talents, training and artistic performances.
Go see the show if you can this week especially if you’re in Sacramento area. Just swing by the big tent to purchase tickets at the box office in person (online tickets may require up to $16 per a ticket service fees). And tickets are as low as $39 from 8/23 to 8/26. There are a plenty of tickets on the same day shows (Monday is off day). And mention the lowest ticket price emoticons saw online when you are at the box office. And spend $10 or $15 more if you can for a better viewing.
There’s a public parking next to the tent which is $12 all day after free first 2-hour (pay at the small pay station at the corner or in the middle the block). Be there early 45-min before the show. It’s very intrusive when the show started on time and the ticket holders arrive late. Please do not arrive late!!!! Some of the casts will be on stage to entertain you even before the actual show starts. So be there early not to miss that. Sitting starts an hour before the show time.
And please just put your phone off and stash it in your pocket/purse and enjoy the show. Heartwarming to return to the big tent after the last 2.5-year of Covid (even with a mask on). And please stay at your seat until the second set of performers come out to the stage to bow. Please applaud until the lights are finally on at your seats to exit. They all deserve standing ovation.
Support these artists of Cirque du Soleil. They are truly the best in the world and we are so lucky to have them visit to Northern California all these years.

Amazing show! Our whole family enjoy it. Have watched many cirque du soleil shows before the pandemic. This one does not disappoint us. Love it as always and bought a souvenir before leaving to support them. Great Job ? Look forward to the next amazing show.

This show is exciting, astounding, and a lot of fun. I highly recommend it for anyone, regardless of age. I was in awe of the performers because what they were doing on stage should have been impossible. All I can say is, if there is a chance to see this troupe of highly skilled acrobats, actors and musicians, go see this show!

We saw the original Alegria 22 years ago. This update is more colorful, has bolder music, and is overflowing with amazing performers who continually make the jaw dropping look effortless.

Ignore the bitter reviews who seem to have misunderstood Cirque and were expecting lions and dancing bears This is a wonderful show; artistically, masterfully, beautifully performed.

By far the best show I’ve ever seen in my life! The only thing that was a bit uncomfortable was the extremely small seats. Like smaller than a seat on an airplane uncomfortable. But the show is so captivating, once it started we didn’t mind. The stage turns in a circle and the performers are everywhere so there really isn’t a bad seat in the house. Parking was pretty quick and easy. They have a good crew directing cars which seemed well thought out. This is just a must see show with stunning costumes and acts! OHHHH WOW!!!

Didn't even get to see the show. Parking lot was full 45 min before showtime. Traffic was so bad that it took 45 min to make what was a 7 min trip from where we had dinner. Getting down Market St. (.1 mile) to the parking lot entrance took about 20 min to find staff at the lot entrance making everyone do a u-turn because they were full. There was no one directing traffic and no one giving us information on alternative parking. We followed some other cars to a lot several blocks away but getting to it and parked would have taken 20 - 30 min and we would have had to walk a very long distance. It surely would have been intermission before we were seated, then in under an hour we would have been fighting our way back and out having seen only half the show. The frustration was simply too much. Very poor management and planning. We had to make the disappointing and expensive decision to forego this performance we had been so looking forward to. I will ask for a refund but sadly I'm not hopeful about getting one.
