I'm a repeat customer of Cosmopolitan, though the foods never been amazing its still a better option for a lunch spot in downtown Fresno.

Order a pizza and salad over the phone, I asked them to have the pizza well done. I got the the restaurant and waited for someone to ask if I needed help. None of the workers seemed to be the people we are used to seeing. No one came to help, I had to ask someone for help.

Than the food, just see the pictures of the quality.

I highly recommend the sweet potato fries, they are delicious! Especially the jalapeño aioli dip they come with. I also ordered a French Dip sandwich, it was decent. This place was very busy at 12, so try to get there early or close to 1pm.

When we arrived, it was by reservationon, the hostess was polite and led us to our table. The server was patient and attentive. She gave us the specials and made recommendations. Our food came out fast and was delicious. I would recommend this place for a nice sit down with family or friends. There were children, although I wouldn't say it much a family friendly, more of a romantic sit down or adult dinner.

Let’s just start with, racism still exist. This restaurant refused to serve a family of African Americans due to it. The Manager and Chef were both well aware and still refuse to serve respectful, paying customers. You mean to tell me that closing your restaurant early made more sense than serving customers that were seated in your establishment. How are they even still in business? Please do not patronize this restaurant if you’re of color. Highly don’t recommend.

My food was great and I'd go back for sure. It was a little frustrating that my colleague ordered a plain sandwich, meat, and bread, which she always orders. When it came out, it had all the toppings and condiments. She asked for it to be corrected, and she was told, "I didn't hear you, so we're not remaking it." Ultimately, after a back and forth, they refunded her. Again, I will go back, just a little frustrating.

So today me and my family were discriminated against eating at the COSMOPOLITAN restaurant in downtown Fresno. I HATE to post this. They served everyone in the restaurant but when it came to serving us they said the restaurant was closed. On the website it says they close at 9. We got there at 7:30PM. We waited there for 30 minutes, they sat everyone who came and checked in with us down, everyone BUT US.

I asked to speak to the manager/head chef and he refused to speak to me. I even had to get this on video. Never have I been in this situation.

It was embarrassing and as a member of this community that always tries to support I’m honestly sad.

Here is the manager confirming the head chef said that MY FAMILY cannot eat. They magically shut down when we wanted to order. Also a picture of the clock as we are leaving after sitting there for 30 mins waiting to get our order taken.

The Cosmo cocktail was not terrible, but it wasn't good either. It seemed like it was a weak premade mix from a bottle. I really was surprised since I presumed that given their name, this drink would be stellar. I moved on yo a vodka press for my next drink and got a full glass of vodka with a splash of mixer. Not really complaining, bc as a drinker I value a strong drink, but this was so over the top, it wasn't enjoyable to sip on, tho I felt great after only finishing half of it, lol.
Salmon pasta was a nice recipe and it was cooked well, but the fish wasn't fresh and it ruined the dish.
Service was great. Atmosphere is nice as well.
Overall had a great time, but prolly won't come back unless asked to by friends.
