Nestled in the heart of Juneau, the Goldtown Nickelodeon is my go-to spot for movies on the big screen. Having spent my entire life in this little town, I've caught dozens of flicks and performances here - lost count, honestly.

What makes Goldtown special aren't just the movies and performances but the welcoming vibes that greet you as you walk through the doors. It's like visiting your fun, quirky aunt's house, except she has a high-quality projection system and a whole ton of chairs in her living room. The sense of community is palpable; every visit transforms into a shared experience among locals. It's not just a theater; it's Juneau's living room.

One of the aspects I sincerely appreciate the most about this theater is the diverse programming. From independent gems to timeless classics, Goldtown is a refreshing departure from the mainstream.

But most importantly, let's talk about the hero behind the scenes – the amazing wonderful human that is Collette, the manager. Collette's commitment to running the theater seems rooted in a genuine passion for community. She might be the glue that's holding this whole place together, to be honest. Juneau is so darn lucky to have someone who provides a creative space for us to indulge in the magic of cinema and performance.

So, the Goldtown Nickelodeon - not just a theater but a place where the love for film and community transcends the screen. Quit reading this admittedly long and gushy review and go book a ticket already!

Love this place!!!! It's like going back in time, it's so wonderfully nostalgic and I've noticed the owners only show really, really good movies here. 10 stars! The couchs and sofas at the back are awesome, the theatre chairs are a little small, especially for a tall person, regardless, So so great!!! . Movie, small popcorn and a pop, less than $15

Such an awesome little spot in Juneau. If you enjoy arthouse and indie cinema, then you will love this theater. They have real seats, but I chose the big puffy chair in the back. It was a unique and memorable experience.
Also, the butter for the popcorn is real melted butter. So delicious.

Sterling Campbell (SterFry)

Very cool little theatre. There's different types of chairs to sit at, has a couple tables and has a cozy vibe. They go the extra mile with little things like letting you butter your own popcorn however you want. It was a great experience and I recommend checking the place out.

Heavenly Apparition

Cool spot, really love it. It's unique. They show one of a kind films you won't see anywhere else. Worth checking out, especially for the candy. There's so much assorted candies and you can get Whatever kind you want and fill it up. It's so cool!

Very nice theater. Plenty of options for snacks and drinks, including alcohol. The seats are okay. I wish they were bigger.
