First time customer here at Goleta Barbers. Place was busy but I was able to walk in and sit right down with no wait. Very clean and well decorated barber shop. Armando gave me an excellent cut, exactly to my request. He finished with a straight razor neck cleanup which is awesome. It kills me to spend $40 for a simple haircut but that is the standard everywhere it seems. With the local Fantastic Sams closed, I am very happy to find this gem of a local barbershop.

I was visiting from LA and walked in without an appointment. Armando was my barber and he was professional and gave me exactly what I was looking for. The whole crew there is talented and the owner runs a tight ship. All the bad reviews are in my opinion a result of folks not being familiar with how barbershops operate. This is a small but very busy shop. If you don’t have an appointment make sure you communicate properly and make yourself known. Don’t just sit there assuming you’ll be catered to hand and foot. Don’t be entitled. I visit Goleta at least once a year and this will be my go-to shop from now on when I’m in town. I paid more than double for a cut down in Santa Barbara and these upscale barbers are doing too much and charging high because their rent is too high and add too many unnecessary amenities, in my opinion. The free banter and laughs are a nice touch. This is how old school barbershops are and it’s an authentic experience.

Nice guys, but asked for a mullet (same on top and in back) and definitely just got a prep cut. They also have you facing away from the mirror so you have no idea what you look like till after.

One of the best haircuts I’ve had in idk how long. Super meticulous.
I’m just visiting for the weekend but I’d almost drive back just for another trim in the future. Also check out the great coffee shop and used bookstore close by.

My son went in to get his haircut, a custom cut, and the barber started cutting okay then when my son showed him the picture, he realized he cut to short and just kept cutting, messing up my sons hair.

Today was my first time here, I think I got lucky because I hear they are extremely busy but I sat in a chair within a minute. Its 20 for a walk in or 25 for an appointment which is the cheapest cut I've had in SB but also the best cut I've ever had. Mauricio paid attention to every detail on how I wanted my hair, he also asked to double check before he made a move. Very quick, friendly and professional. I'm the type to hop around barbershops but Mauricio was so good, I'm going to stick with him.

This was my first time going to this barbershop. I decided to go because it had a good rating of 4.6 stars. I told my son to call so we know how much they charged. The guy said that it was $20 for an appointment and $25 for a walk-in, it didn't make any sense to me why the $5 difference but since we were making an appointment I decided to go. After my son and I finished getting our hair cut they charged us $25 each making it a total of $50. Really? $50 for 2 haircuts? I guess it is not as much the coast, which in my opinion it's still expensive but the fact that we were deceived that really bothered me. I personally will never go back.
