Good basic food. Had a great server.

The eggs were cooked perfect. I love that They have sourdough toast.

We loved the feta omelette. Really great blend of flavors.

As you see below, the only challenge sometimes is finding parking in this part of Clayton. Hopefully they’ll be a spot on the street you can grab and you can pay for it with an app.

Half and Half has great service, I wonderful atmosphere and amazing food. We came at 11:30 and were able to get a table on the patio. We had our drinks within 3-4 minutes and our order placed. It was a 15 minute wait to get our food, which is perfect. The food came out hot, well seasoned except for salt. I like that the food isn’t overly salted because I’d rather add it to my taste compared to food being overly salted.
If you need breakfast, brunch or lunch, this is your spot. I’ll definitely be eating here again.

Food was great but we had to wait over 1 hour when we were told 35 minutes. They have a systems where they allow ppl who reserve from Yelp (online) to get in front of walk ins on the list. Horrible. We waited for more than 1 hour with kids. Restaurant was about to close by the time we got sat. Once we were sat , service and food was fast , great and tasty. No problem. But would not return. We want on Sunday day afternoon btw.

Everything was great. The server was amazing. She was very welcoming. The coffee was great, I ordered the iced sugar cookie latte, and blueberry cheesecake stuffed French toast. 😋 It was very busy around 1230 to closing. There was a 15 minute wait.

Awesome spot for brunch in St. Louis, some of the best biscuits and gravy I’ve ever had and everything was delicious. Only let down for me was the service, they are busy on weekend mornings so be ready to wait for a prolonged time. Food is worth it though. And definitely get the donuts.

Half & Half in Clayton is the kind of breakfast spot that’s always buzzing with energy, and for good reason. I decided to try their salmon hash, and let me tell you, it was a total treat. Salmon can sometimes feel a bit heavy and too overpowering for breakfast, but not here—it was perfectly balanced. #stlouispescatarianapproved The hash came swimming in this amazing sauce (seriously, I could have eaten it with a spoon) and was loaded with spinach and potatoes. Every bite was just so lovely. If you’re looking for a casual spot with great vibes and even better food, this is it.

Last visited Half & Half when they had a location in Webster Groves several years ago. It was ok, a little weird, but not terrible. Today was terrible.

Our waitress was too busy to really care for our tables. Food came out before my husband even got his coffee; we had to ask someone else for it. Took 10 minutes to pay the bill, which was $45 for two people. I think we saw the waitress briefly about 3 times.

Iced tea was extremely bitter and clearly old and/or over steeped. My Benedict was on a soggy muffin, wet spinach, under poached eggs sliding off before it got to the table. The biscuit my husband's sandwich was on was crumbling beyond the point of being a handheld dish, the sausage on it unable to be cut with the silverware provided.

I've never had an issue with claustrophobia, but this place gave me an inkling of it. So many people crammed into a small place, so loud it's hard to hear the person in front of you. Employee caught my jacket as he was running by with a chair, another almost hit my husband in the head with the leg of a chair. The place was dingy and seemed dirty.

I'm all for supporting local, as well as second chances, but with all the incredible local food options in St Louis, do yourself a favor and skip Half & Half.
