Marin Improv has been an incredible experience for me! As a current student, I feel really supported in this safe and welcoming space, surrounded by talented individuals who are all focused on growing and helping one another. The small class size is a big plus—it means we’re always active, constantly on our feet, and actually participating in exercises rather than waiting for our turn. Drew, our instructor, is amazing—his energy is contagious, and it's clear he genuinely cares about each of his students. It’s a great environment to learn and improve in!

Drew is an excellent improv coach. He immediately gives helpful, precise suggestions in the moment. He explains what the audience expects or wants to see from the improviser. He is also easy on the ego.

I'm hooked! I've taken improv classes before but Improv Marin is definitely my favorite. In Lisa's class we move quickly from simple exercise to doing really fun scene work.
Also, the Thursday night community play is so great. We support each other so that's good for the nerves that are a natural part of doing anything new.

The best thing about IMPROV MARIN is one learns how to grow by doing a lot of the exercises and games. Getting comfortable around other people, learn communication skills and learn to listen and interact with people who don’t know which has a tremendous effect on self-confidence. It’s fun and there is a lot of laughter and laughter is key to living well.

I gotta admit I was terrified of getting up in front of people and performing, especially something that was extemporaneous. So I figured I’d challenge myself. Drew provides a really safe and supportive environment to make and embrace mistakes. Did my first show with classmates and it felt great - looking forward to more!
