Loved the food! I wanted everything on the menu. My waiter John was awesome and friendly. Food came out fast and was hot. I got the special cucumber salad, wontons in chili oil , chicken fried rice, and Peking Chicken. The inside was clean as well. Loved the decor.

We were so happy when we found out that this location was now open. It's very close to our house and super convenient. We were seated right away but was told it may take a few minutes for us to get our order in. Which was fine. They were very busy. We ordered a lot of food, and our waiter was super nice. The food came out so fast. Unfortunately, they did forget one of our dishes. We decided to cancel because we were so full from the other food anyways. The green beans are exceptional, the Chow Fun is pretty good, spinach dumplings are okay. The cucumber salad is very good, but you have to eat it right then and there, it's not as good as a leftover. They are specializing in duck, right now, but it's very popular, so order it while you can. The dumplings in chili oil are flavorful, but pretty spicy. Overall, it was a good experience.

It was my first visit as I was in town for an early birthday celebration. The visit was on Sunday Father's Day. The holiday had no impact on service. Staff was phenomenal, fast and efficient. Recommendations provided and accepted inclusive of stuffed eggplant flounder, coconut shrimp and walnuts, veggies, braised pork and more. Omgoodness! I'M EXTREMELY particular about eggplant but gave it a try. Simply delicious. Portions were perfect for our trio. This is a must try for anyone visiting the city seeking a warm environment to break bread.

What a fantastic Chinese restaurant nestled in Midtown. Earlier today, my friend and I decided to swing by Journey to the Dumpling, and let's just say, we were more than happy with our decision. Better yet, we loved it! The restaurant had a modern, bright and clean vibe, which I really appreciated. Plus, the service and food weren't too bad!

Our server, Danny, was personable, knowledgeable and incredibly thorough with his service. He gave the right amount of recommendations, in addition to being very proactive and attentive with our dining experience. He checked in on us more than a few times - not too much and not too little. Plus, he definitely made us feel at home and was a fantastic conversationalist. We ordered more than a few dishes this afternoon and they were all fantastic. I'd say the roasted duck was my absolute favorite. The cucumber salad was a close second. Each dish had a ton of meat, which was a nice surprise, and they were very generous with their portion sizes. Typically, roast duck can be hit or miss, but Journey to the Dumpling definitely didn't skimp on us! Even the Salt & Pepper Spare Ribs were super juicy, tender and meaty.

Overall, I'll definitely come back to Journey to the Dumpling - Midtown. This place was really good and I'm already penciling in my next visit!

First time to this location in Sacramento. We were greeted and seated quite fast. Waitress was very efficient. Food was tasty and portions were pretty good sized. Will definitely be back when in Sac again.

Journey to the Dumpling is a rare find, where food, service and atmosphere all exceed expectations. Many vegetarian options, including Impossible Dumplings (10/10), Salt and Pepper Tofu (ask for vegetarian preparation) and Steamed Mantou (delicious and addicting). Service was great despite them being so busy (get on the wait-list early). The atmosphere was unique and welcoming. We return here often and bring family and friends visiting in town. Highly recommend!

We waited probably an hour and a half for 2 people for dinner on a Friday night. The interior is beautiful, colorful, and full of amazing little designs and neat fixtures. I love the ceiling! Anyways, food is always delicious but it's the enviroment for me! Tons of people inside laughing and enjoying their meal. The energy is upbeat, fun, and it's definitely worth going too!

Wow! I'm not sure I can actually fit enough words on this review to let you know how much I enjoy eating at this fine restaurant! Definitely recommend this restaurant for date night/ Family night or Any night! It's In the heart of Midtown where the atmosphere is so inviting! From awesome menu food selection to the Cool midtown vibes.. this place is truly one of the best restaurants to Dine in Midtown 👏🏻 can't wait to eat there again! Thank you 🍜🥡🥠🤌🏻
