Their advertisement are a bait and switch. They say sign up and you can get 25% off of your first order. What they do not tell you is the 25% is only good on certain items. I called them and all I got for an answer is that the item I was trying to purchase does not meet the criteria for the 25% off.

I regularly, change that to used to regularly order from JR. when I placed the last two orders I fidnt have a coupon but used the Chat function to see if they had a loyalty one seeing as how I order every couple of months $400-$500. I was not provided and coupons but the day after I placed my last 2 orders I received a discount coupon. I called both times and they would not apply. Will go back to the other companies I used in the past.

Order# 13550008 I ordered an Oliva 15 cigar sampler that consisted of three 5 packs for $62. It has been 6 days and it has not yet shipped according to their website. Now the product is $130 and it shows it's out of stock. No one bothered to inform me of this and they will not make any substitutions or just send me three five packs to complete the order with the same sampler. I am now told that I have to go in and place another order for each individual five-pack if I want them and it will cost me more than double. Terrible customer service and why was my credit card charged if it was supposedly not in stock at the time even though it showed that it was. I will be watching close for my refund and no longer doing business with JR Cigars if this is how they treat customers. They also do not put any kind of humidity control like a Boveda pack when they ship cigars. Another serious downfall in my opinion. And 9 out of 10 times the coupons that they email you never work.

J R Cigar is great. The staff here is awesome and very knowledgeable. Eric helped us out and he was awesome. Took his time and helped us pick out some great cigars. Definitely will be going back to this place. If your into cigars check them out. Their selection is great and they have good pricing.

This company has the worst customer service that I have EVER experienced. Problem with my order (their fault) and customer service refused to help (even after multiple phone calls) because “returns is a different department.”

I’ve bought a few cigars here and they were dry. Doesn’t seem like they have an in-store humidor. Check out Jon’s Pipe Shop right down the street.
