Awesome Airport! Flew in for the night and pulled the plane right up to the camp site! Nice views of the runway! Gas is cheap only 5.68 a gallon. For pilots: watch out for runway 17 approach, super tight and mountain winds can be rough, and also watch out for density alt. Airport surrounded by mountains. Would totally recommend, awesome spot!

A little gem of an airport. This place has campgrounds and is tucked away just beyond the lake.

I was told if you camp you can ask for water to be hooked up for the showers. There’s port a potties available at the campsites, but the showers were so cut and we’re open air. I personally loved the benches that had the runway carved into them.

Each campsite had a picnic table and a fire pit.

They do a fly in here every October.

Beautiful area, great camping area set up, very nice people and willing to help out the campers. 15$ overnight camping fee which is totally worth every cent.
Aviation wise:
Check density altitudes and be ready for some wind shears around the mountains. No fuel so plan to have enough there. No night operations which makes sense as the terrain is rising right near the airport.
Touristy wise: Call ahead to schedule the rental car as you need it there. Not much to do other wise.

Very fun airport to fly into and out of. Good challenge. Cafe staff is amazing and food is good. Camping spot near the runway and river is cool. Showers included.

Great place to fly in and eat. Be careful of the right downwind (proximity to terrain); short base leg; and final (trees) of Rwy 17. For transient parking near the restaurant, be advised that the area is sloped. Best to have a friend or someone there to apply the chocks while brakes are held; if aircraft doesn't have a parking brake. I didn't know beforehand and almost had the plane roll away from me! Luckily a patron at the restaurant helped to apply the chocks. Beautiful place otherwise.

Awesome little airport with friendly people. Great place to camp, and you can park the plane next to the camp grounds. There's a water spigot, one 120v power outlet, a small firepit for each camping spot and a large communal firepit at the center of the camping area. Plenty of driftwood to gather for fires.

Runway is in excellent condition. There is no tower but someone in the onsite restaurant will answer questions when you are flying into the airport. There is a nice campground at the north end with an airplane parking area.

Great airport , watch out for mountains around you , usually windy more than 15 knots .if you are landing RW 17 make sure you extend the downwind at higher altitude because your base leg is really short .
