Purchased a home in 2019 in the mountain gate community. Same week escrow closes started to have roof issues. Over next several years numerous service calls and “ repairs” Definitely not normal and was told it’s a glue problem and they were fixing. It was just patched over and over. It needs an entire new roof!!! And where’s mandalay?! I’m told they will get back to me and weeks go by with numerous emails & calls and nothing. No contact. Just know your home you paid for may not be sturdy and when you make them aware they start stringing you along then ghosting you. I have all the written documentation as well aka receipts.
It’s been several YEARS at this point of asking for the proper repairs.

I have not seen many reviews for Mandalay Homes in Arizona and wanted to share my experience as the building process continues. Since I first viewed the Mountain Gate Community model homes, I knew this was going to be the builder for me. I began my contract in Oct 2020 and have been visiting the site with growing excitement as everything comes together. I did have a few concerns that were address by the VP of Construction, Tim Vargas, who was able to explain the process and reasoning behind a few of my concerns. Communication with Mandalay has been satisfactory, email being the main source of communication. At one point I started psyching myself out reading some of the reviews about this builder, but so far they have been great. I'll continue my review as the building and administrative process continues.

Working with Melisa Dewey and Duane Blaylock at Mandalay Homes in Prescott Valley has been the most pleasant home-buying experience I’ve ever had. In my lifetime, I have purchased several homes, and never have my realtor(s) and I worked with a more professional and dedicated team. From the first visit to Jasper, where I knew I had found my new place, to the final walk-through of my new home, Melisa, Duane, including Kelly Kellerman, and the rest of the Mandalay Homes office personnel, treated me with utmost respect and professionalism. Their friendly demeanor ensured me I made the right decision. I have found Melisa and Duane to be incredibly dedicated to their client’s needs, making sure that all details are covered. Melisa was meticulous with every step taken, since I was purchasing the home long distance with some of the necessary in-person visits to the office. Melisa’s efficient communication with the lender and title companies was superb. Buying a new home, whether it’s the first or the fifth one, can sometimes be a stressful and confusing experience. However, Melisa and the team ensured that all of my questions were answered and that all of the steps throughout the process were completed in a streamlined and prompt manner, thereby helping to abate some of my anxieties. I am excited to begin a new chapter of my life in the Jasper community, and I am truly grateful to have gained new friendships in this amazing staff! Thank Melisa and Duane, for making my experience a beautiful and most memorable one!

Be cautious if you are looking to purchase from Mandalay. Seems to be a decently built home but they clearly appear to be in cost cutting mode in all facets of their operations, including their employees. They significantly reduced the number of options available and they laid-off one of their realtors, Sharon Wilmeth. Sharon was fantastic and created the best first impression possible for the company and frankly she was a large reason my wife and I were even considering one of their homes. We will find another builder. How you treat your people, your greatest asset, speaks volumes about your business.

I appreciate getting a text message to alert me that the technician is on the way. This is one of the few services that I can count on! It’s so nice to have someone show up when they say they’re going to show up! Glendon does a fantastic job and is easy to work with; we are always happy to see him!

I am a real estate agent who worked with Mandalay Homes, to construct our beautiful home in the Granite Dells in Prescott, Arizona. I also sold 4 other homes in the same neighborhood so I have worked with Mandalay 5 times in the past year! They are wonderful. Their product is exceptional, the sales team (thank-you Sharon Wilmeth and Michelle Singer) were incredibly helpful and the construction crew (thank-you Cletus, Donna and Eddie) were very thorough. The construction projects finished in a timely manner. I could not be more pleased and highly recommend the energy-efficient Mandalay homes and their teams!

I purchased a Mandalay home in late June of 2020. I decided to go with them because they seemed to really care about building a quality high tech home that was also energy efficient. They also offered a lot of customization options that a lot of tract builders do not offer which I found helpful in creating the home for my next chapter. The home/configuration I designed was the first of its kind and had not been built by Mandalay to that point in time. Unfortunately I discovered the laundry room was too shallow for a standard size washer and dryer to fit in. This issue made the space cramped and difficult to walk through the laundry room from the garage. Mandalay was very helpful in fixing the problem. They stand by a good product and genuinely care about the satisfaction of their customers.
