Visited this place and decided to have my wedding ceremony here. Would not recommend to anyone who was handicapped due to its steep steps, but it is a wonderful , peaceful place that overlooks Fort Smith. My ceremony was small; family only, and anyone else who just happened to be there at the time. It was a hot day but there was a nice breeze. It was very clean and well kept. Would definitely recommend this place for small ceremonies like mine, or if you just wanted a peaceful place to escape and read a book. ?

Nobody ever talks about the 2 guys that dug every single one of those rocks out the ground to split them by hand.. took months of some of the most dangerous work I’ve ever done!! But I couldn’t be more prouder !! Just kinda wish the 2 guys that did all that rock work got there names put somewhere!

Very pretty. I loved going when there was no one there. Might have to wait it out but worth the peace. There was a little storm rolling through you can tell in the clouds but great lunch picnic ?

Nice views and part of the Ben Geren trail system.
The entrance to McClure Amphitheater is actually on McClure Drive just look for the Water Tower.

I'm glad the City of Fort Smith puts money into public places like this. It's quiet and clean - a good place to park for the many mountain bike trails in the area.
