Momentum is such a special place to be. The community has always been welcoming and supportive ! When I began Lyra classes a year ago, I was sure it would be too hard and I was too old to pick up something new. I was by far the youngest person in my 1A beginner class and was constantly encouraged and walked through each step of every move. Private lessons are super helpful and affordable for the heightened instruction you’ll get and you can bring friends to make it even cheaper!

I’ve gotten to try out stilt walking, silks, and the lyra SO FAR !
There’s not many aerial places like Momentum that have so many options for apparatuses AND levels! Check out a sampler class or setup a private if you’re wanting to try it out—it’s the best workout you’ll ever do ! My life’s been changed

I've been at Momentum for a little over a year now and I can't believe I didn't start aerial sooner! Aerial has been a great way for me to stay in shape while engaging my creative side, something I need to keep me motivated. I've noticed so much change from my balance improving, better posture, and I've even grown an inch (actually my spine just decompressed from being upside down so much but basically the same thing)! I used to go to a chiropractor every month for back and shoulder pain and I havnt been back once since starting on the silks last year!
I've grown so much this year and a lot of that is thanks to aerial. The environment is amazing and I've enjoyed every teacher I've had. Plus the Karma Cleaning program is a great way for people like me who need a little financial help to stay involved and I know there are a lot of other opportunities like the scholarship fund.
So glad I found this place ?

well, where do I begin... Momentum is one of the most welcoming places I've encountered in Flagstaff. I began pole classes here a couple years ago, and they welcomed me and my service dog with open arms. Everyone here is so supportive of each other, and they even have socials focused on bringing together members of certain communities (LGBT+ socials, BIPOC socials). The teachers and head staff are wonderful. I am also so, so grateful for the tuition assistance programs that are offered; as a college student who has often been on again/ off again homeless, I am so appreciative that there are ways for me to continue doing classes here despite my financial struggles. I don't think I can recommend this studio enough, I know that after I graduate I'm going to really miss it here. Thanks for the amazing memories and for the new memories to be made!

Great space with experienced and kind instructors! Momentum's unique semester schedule allows you to learn with the same class and instructor each semester which builds a sense of community. I've been to several other aerial studios across the country and always look forward to getting back to Momentum - we truly are spoiled here!

I’ve always wanted to learn aerial arts but have always been hesitant because I don’t have what I thought was the typical body type or strength that would allow me to perform. But Joanie was Awesome! She made me feel comfortable and confident! She walked me through everything and by the end of our session, she had me doing some seriously cool moves and knew just how to pose you for some insta worthy pics!

If you’ve ever thought about trying it…you SHOULD at Momentum Aerial.

I did a Fall semester here and while the class was fun, I felt that the stress of progression was very forced. For people that want to learn a new skill and not necessarily master it right away and move onto the next level it is hard to enjoy the class because of how focused it is on learning another skill every single time. I also think you should be able to opt out of the scoring at the end of the semester if you are not looking to advance and just want to learn a new skill and enjoy the class.

Signing my daughter up for silks and lyra lessons at Momentum Aerial is the very best thing I could have ever done as a parent. The instructors, especially Miss Joanie, have helped my daughter find confidence and strength in a way that nothing else could have. Everyone at Momentum Aerial has astounding talent, passion, phenomenal aerial skills, and best of all the ability to teach and inspire their students. I love the changes I have seen in my daughter. I love the focus on safety, body awareness, and increasing strength. My daughter and I genuinely adore the supportive environment created by Miss Joanie and all the people within this aerial community.

Momentum Aerial is a fantastic place to learn and train. I had always wanted to try burlesque, and Momentum got me into it! I saw a burlesque workshop advertised and attended it, which lead to me and a few others from the class performing the piece we learned, which lead to even more burlesque performances at events that were associated with Momentum Aerial! I have since moved away and am now living in Colorado but have continued performing burlesque and even got invited to teach a burlesque class next year! Learning and performing burlesque has lead to so much good in my life; confidence, bonds with other women, getting over stage fright, embracing my femininity, learning how to create acts, and so much more... and it all started with that workshop I took at Momentum and the performance opportunities they provided!
