The cosmetic aspect of the theater has improved greatly since we were there. The employee that sold me my tickets and concessions was super sweet and helpful. The only cons include the less than fresh popped popcorn and the new (non) reclining seats are less than comfortable. Appreciate the cleanliness and presence of employees scattered throughout the theater.

It's been awhile since I've been in the Janesville theater, but I have to say I'm impressed. They have updated things. The seats are the comfy reclining heated seats, they have actual food and they also serve alcohol now as well. Great job!!

This place is gross. Our theater was empty for at least a half hour before our use and was never cleaned. There is popcorn, napkins, empty drinks and other garbage everywhere. Everything hard surface is sticky from the theater to the bathroom. And the problem is not being short staffed as we watched a worker stand next to his cleaning cart, playing on his phone for the half hour we waited, hoping someone was going to clean up.

Horrific experience, every part of it. This place needs shut down. First of all, the For Kind and Country concert was supposed to play at this theater, it has been listed on the bands website for a month. Every other theater they had listed, had the event on their page and the option to purchase tickets in advance. There was nothing on Janesvilles show times, I checked back every day. We decided to drive there and ask in person and hopefully purchase tickets in advance. Keep in mind the event was only days away at this point. The girl at the desk knew nothing about it. She stated that they don't have show times for the week. How do they not have their show schedule? We finally got tickets and I was so excited to see this. We arrived at the theater and sat staring at a black screen for 20 minutes after the credits. Someone finally got up to tell a worker that nothing was playing. Then after a while the girl came I'm and said THEY DIDNT HAVE THE FILM READY!!! She said it will take her 5 minutes, then switched to say 10 minutes tops. We waited some more. She came back in and said she couldn't get the film to play!!!! They told us to leave!!!! I am so upset. They refunded us without giving us a receipt, so hopefully we get the refund in our bank. On top of all of that the theater is gross, the seats are so low i couldn't see the bottom half of the screen, and the workers were focused on counting heads in each theater room to see if anyone snuck in. Horrible experience all around, this was completely unacceptable.

Popcorn is ok and they give you an option to put more butter behind the register. Not every room has heated seats. Food is overpriced pretty much forcing you to get the bundle’s which is expected for a small business. Not to busy for an old theater through

Wish i could give you guys 0 stars. I am extremely disappointed in how this theater navigated their “youth issue”. As a 20 year old college student (who will be 21 in less than 4 months), I tried taking my two 17 year old sisters to see Wicked, a PG movie by the way) sunday evening. We were denied entry because of our ages even though I am more than a legal adult at this point. The youth policy at movies 16 is outrageous. Beloit theater which is just less than 20 minutes from movies 16 does NOT have this issue and the entire theater is nicer in every way than janesville. I mean they tried, but really ruined it with this policy. The two teenagers who denied us were whispering behind the counter like we weren’t even there. Just overall I am outraged and will never be coming back.
