Pros:
The atmosphere was luxurious, quiet, and comfortable. When we ordered food, the dishes were served promptly, and the popcorn was refillable. The theater seats reclined enough to make it possible to sleep.
The menu was quite extensive, and the prices were reasonable considering the portion size and quality. You can enjoy a meal while watching a movie.
From 5 PM, there’s even a bar where you can order cocktails and other alcoholic drinks, but children are not allowed after this time.

Cons:
1. The movie paused for about 30 seconds. If this only happens once, it’s fine, but if it happens again, even 3 stars would feel generous.
2. It’s disappointing that children are not allowed after 5 PM.
3. Parking is difficult.

The Luxe is perhaps the best kept secret in Folsom. The accommodations are luxurious, the food very good, and the theatres are small, high end, and intimate. Special shout out to the bartender Christen. He is always a friendly face and his drinks are awesome. We usually prefer seeing an earlier show with a couple drinks and eating at the bar after. You can certainly eat inside the show also. If the kiosk ordering is not your thing you can order at the bar and your food/drinks will be sent in. Always a great experience here even at those times when the movie not so great. You will never want to see a movie a different way after this!

I have been here a couple times and I think each was a good experience. I’ve only gone after 5pm, when it’s adults only.. the bar area really becomes a vibe!
We ordered our drinks and food each time at the bar to be brought to our seats, so I’m not sure if there is a different experience when ordering at the seat. The first time, they brought the food but not my wine! I didn’t bother getting up, but they refunded after I told them after the movie. So I made sure to get it from the bar the second time lol
For theatre 1, we were told it’s really cold in there. I thought this would be fine because the heat has been torture.. BUT it was freeeeeezing! I brought a blanket for the 2nd time, but theatre 4 is reg temp lol

Overall I had a good experience and will be back! 🙂

An ok experience. The theater we were in was on the run down end though. One of our chairs leather was completely ripped up in many places, and the other chair when trying to recline it felt like it could break at any moment. It also wasn’t very clean.. crumbs and gunk on the tables connected to the chairs.

We of course do like the service, easy to use QR code (which is peeling from the tables), and how it’s 21+. The lobby/bar area is also very nice.

Stopped by to check this place out for the first time in 2 years to see how they were doing and wow, it's really gone downhill. The main hallway is pretty dirty, bathrooms are thrashed, they turned off the service buttons so you can't have people take your order anymore. You have to use your phone and scan a QR code to order, that way they can cut back on employees and you do the work for them. I'm not a fan of that because my camera is broken on my phone. So you have to get up, request a menu and do everything yourself. If you want a refill, you are tough out of luck and you have to get up and go get your own stuff.

This theater is targeted toward adults and older adults, not all of them have smartphones or they can't use them. So that is a pretty bad move on their part. Also, they took away the glasses and they serve you drinks now in regular movie theater cups. I mean it's not a big deal but it feels really cheap and it loses the premium feel of the movie theater. It's already bad enough that there is no more service to your seat. Plus, when somebody wants to order more, they pull their phone out and the screen brightness ruins the entire movie for everyone else.

Chairs are also falling apart and struggle to recline. They need new chairs.

I'm not sure what the point is of going here anymore. If there is no more service, you might as well just go to a regular movie theater.

The only good thing about this place is the bar, it's always on point, the drinks are good, the bartenders are always great. So they get the two stars.

I'm not sure what's up with this place but they really need to step it up, they had a reputation of being the best movie theater in the entire county.

I like the concept, and the movie was great. They charge extra for sauces like mustard & ketchup. The seat i sat in was in disrepair and needs replacement or recovering at least. We order a drink called Symbiote which had so much alcohol, it wasn't drinkable (and I like tequila, but this was too much for me).

Okay I got to tell you this was a really cool place. You felt like you were in a bar / restaurant
The food was good in the theater they just have to learn how to take orders better and not be so disruptive during the movie because Studio Grill got it down they get your order early fast and uninterrupted

What a bummer!!

This used to be one of my favorite theaters in the area, but has sadly gone downhill since my last visit awhile back. Listed below are my biggest issues we experienced.

1. The food/drink ordering process. It’s just not good. You’re forced to either order at the bar ahead of time, use a kiosk at the entrance, or place your order on your phone in the theater at your seat using a QR code on the tray. When asked what the procedure for ordering more drinks/food during the movie was, they said to pull out your phone during the movie and place the order. The order buttons that would call a server to your seat have been disabled and no longer function. This is extremely disruptive, the whole movie people kept pulling out their phones to attempt to order. This leads me to my 2nd major issue.

2. The online order process doesn’t work in the theatre. I didn’t have good cell reception in the auditorium (which is not the fault of the theatre, I want to make that clear that that is a Tmobile issue), but what IS the theaters problem, is their WiFi doesn’t work. When I asked the manager if I was doing something wrong, I was met with an apathetic shrug. If you’re going to force people to order in advance or their phone to replace your server staff, fine I guess, but make sure you infrastructure is configured to support this at the very least.

3. Drinks just weren’t good. First drink I legitimately think was lacking any alcohol despite being advertised (and priced) as one. This may have just been an off night, going to give the bartender the benefit of the doubt and presume this isn’t the norm.

4. Projector was clearly broken. The picture was super dim, and the edges of the picture were completely cut off. We saw “Wicked” there but the title card at the beginning displayed it as “Wicke Part:” which was a bummer. Not sure if it just needs to be adjusted or is damaged but it’s frustrating to pay for a theatre experience that can’t maintain its equipment.

5. Couldn’t hear a lot of the movie. The volume was incredibly quiet, now this is to be expected at a dine in theatre so the wait staff can hear people’s orders…. but they don’t do that here anymore! Why is the volume so low if there aren’t any wait staff needing to hear anything?

Overall it just feels like it’s miss managed. This place could be much better like it used to be. It was once the nicer alternative to studio movie grill in Rocklin, but this is no longer the case. I would advise going to any other theatre in the area as you will get a better experience no matter how you slice it. I really hope this place gets back on their feet, but I won’t be returning any time soon.
