My first Powerhouse experience kinda sucked, so a friend invited me out to Tuesday night live karaoke to rectify that memory. The band was awesome. They had a pretty extensive list of good songs to choose from, and the front man was very fun and engaging. The talent for the night was varied, but sofa King fun to watch. I loved watching other people fully enjoying themselves. I had a great night, and the drinks were pretty good, too.
The venue is very much my personal aesthetic. I loved it.

The bouncer is a racist individual. The bartender is OK. The bouncer was rude and drove our group out of the place. He told us he did not want to see us back. Our group was not noisy. We went there for a drink, just to relax. We are a polite group, and we were not loud. We were there at 7pm and the place was quite empty.
Please do not support businesses that are racist.

I am not going to deny that it’s a fun place, great music, excellent live bands . Unfortunately the kind of people that have started to frequent and come here are the worst.
There are decent, nice people as well.
But those that have no respect, no manners, and don’t care about anyone else around are terrible.
My friend along with other women and I had to experience what a stupid guy decided was fun… he was aroused and rubbed his privates on us while we were having fun. I felt assaulted, it was disgusting.
His three friends were encouraging him and I told security about his actions and behavior and he immediately got kicked out along with his friends because one of these other guys licked a girl unprovoked. The Powerhouse’s security acted fast and accordingly, I can’t thank them enough.
This is terrible and horrible. This shouldn't happen in a place where you’re going to have fun and dance.
It’s sad to see what this has become and they don’t have control of the type of people they let in.
To all the women: don’t stay quiet, speak up, don’t allow this type of behavior. I saw this happening to different women and no one said anything or reported them, only that other one girl that got licked, thank you 🙏 for speaking up and not allowing this type of behavior.

Saw the band, Cold Blood, which is an East Bay Grease band. It's has similar roots to Tower of power and it was a great show. Service and atmosphere is fantastic but don't go there for a meal unless it's not during a show. Foods are limited but you can eat at least a snack or two. Across the street is probably one of the best pizza places that you're going to find. I like sitting upstairs for the venue since you can see pretty much everything. Warning, the floor upstairs is very sticky and it's carpet. So, think about that when you go.

Great place with great music. The vibe is fun and good times to be had. Drinks are good and reasonable priced. There are 3 rooms to hang out and either dance or just sit and hang out and enjoy Hookah.

It's a bit pricey and security needs some training. Women shouldn't be patting down men and vice versa, but I know their goal is to keep things safe.
Overall, it's a fun, high energy place, and bar staff does a good job. 4.5/5

This place would have unique decor Inside to see from ceiling to the stage good bands from Blues too Rock would play. It also has a dance floor to enjoy two bars an upstairs second floor to view the band. There is outside close patio to still enjoy the band music or a DJ that would play at certain times with another bar outside too. Seating is available out in the patio if it gets Hot there is water mist that don't get you wet but feels refreshing. Worth going.
