My wife and I came in for brunch. Everything about this place was amazing. It might be one of my favorite places in LA to eat at. We started off with the tuna poke appetizer which was delicious especially for tuna lovers. I went with the steak and eggs for the meal which was delicious was well. Finally, we had the Japanese pancake which that was topped with fresh blueberries and maple syrup. For any foodie lovers visiting LA or even local residents, you don't want to miss out on some great food here!

This place was recommended by a family friend and was overall great! Some of the foods were over seasoned and had almost too much flavor but was eaten and enjoyed nevertheless. We had the miso ramen, sweet bread (my favorite)Korean style spare ribs, calamari, and Brussels sprouts for appetizers. For entrees we had liberty farm duck breast, dragon roll, lobster roll, and the shoyu ramen. For the appetizers, I would probably pass on the ribs next time but definitely go back for the brusselsprouts and the sweet bread.
Our waitress was very nice and knowledgeable about the menu and business which helped decision making. She was quick to check on us and get us more drinks or whatever was needed, good service was not lacking in the slightest!

Went for Dine LA brunch and it was a great experience. Would recommend if you're looking for an asian fusion place.

Portions are massive, you definitely won't go home hungry. Highlights were the Japanese pancake and the Avocado toast. The pork belly eggs benedict was also great. We got a kaarage to share and that was okay.

Service was prompt and friendly, and the space was cozy.

Chef husband and wife and their team turn out superb food bringing their two Asian cultures together in sheer poetry on a plate!

Chef Ray and Chef Cynthia know how to deliver great food and service - and it’s no wonder that Michelin has already taken notice.

From ramen and tonkatsu to elevated sushi, fish, meat and more - RYLA never disappoints

Really enjoyed the food here my first time but was hit and miss the following two. Ambiance is nice, tables are very close to each other and gets fairly loud.

The steak was really good, tho this last time it only came with a handfull of peas instead of the pepper. Get the bread to go with the steak. The crab baos were delicious. The scallop roll is also really good and unique. Didn't think much of the tuna roll or lobster roll. Ramen is decent but pricey. The tteokbokki alla vodka tasted way too salty. The chicken karaage was very juicy and tender but lacked batter and crisp. The sauce the chicken came with was also not great imo. The waitress warned us that the piña colada was strong but nothing could ve prepared us for it. That was not a piña colada. Tiramisu had a nice presentation and good enough to not end your meal with a let down.

Good fusion food place. Also, it has a good balance between a casual pub vibe and a decent dining place. All the food items on the menu are delicious, especially the meat dishes are amazing. Our favorite was a Korean rib sharing dish. That spicy sweet taste is exceptional. If we are around Hermosa Beach, definitely this would be the place for our pick. Recommend!!

+ Kimberly W. , our server, was super sweet. Definitely a great server and checked on us at a timely manner.

+ Great food presentation

I had a reservation booked online, but unfortunately, I wasn’t seated until 30 to 40 minutes later, which was a bit frustrating. The food was decent, but nothing particularly memorable. It seems like this restaurant leans more toward offering a trendy ambiance. If you’re looking for a restaurant that serves food perfect for Instagram, this spot definitely delivers on aesthetics.

RYLA is a contemporary restaurant offering a fusion Japanese cuisine. Losing a bet, I treated my friend for dinner at RYLA, a superb decision!! I asked our server for recommendations (She was really enthusiastic and attentive!) and we had the Korean styled spare ribs, miso ramen, grilled lamb chops, and matcha tiramisu. Starting with the spare ribs it was sweet with a slight tang, ultra tender (slips right off the bone) and has a glazed slightly charred exterior, one of the best ribs I've ever eaten. The miso ramen was alright, really good fatty pork chashu, soft medium thick flat ramen noodles, with a really green and sharp spicy taste from the serrano chile and oil, egg looks good (My friend ate it). The lamb chop was super unique! It had a tangy yogurt topped with tons of quinoa allowing for a popping crunch, it was paired with the super tender lamb surrounded by bits of apricot and olive oil tasting liquid (tomato herbs fine sauce perhaps?) and it was SPECIAL, I love cooking lamb myself but never as rare or tender as this. Finally, the matcha tiramisu was the best! Maybe it's because I was eyeing this dish ever since I found out about RYLA but this tiramisu was topped with a soft grass land-like of matcha powder followed by layers of airy matcha cake and sweet mascarpone cream, a delightful ending to a delicious meal. Overall, I loved how RYLA experiments with different dishes quite frequently always allowing frequent returners to try new delicious innovative dishes, I will be back! (DATEO?)
