Sammy T’s has decent music. The drinks have become overpriced, and they charge for water (will not give you a cup of water, forces you to buy a bottle). I have never seen a business charge for water, especially a bar. The bathrooms are disgusting and flooding with toilet water and human waste. But I digress due to the bigger issues at hand.

As other reviews have stated, this bar has a reputation for racism and discrimination. Their reputation is correct. Sammy T’s does not distribute, post, or make their dress code known to their customers. They do this so that they can deny people entry due to their race and blame it on their ever-evolving dress code requirements. Even if you fix the made up dress code requirement, you will still not be allowed in the vicinity. Which leads back to my initial point, it is not the dress code they are worried about, it’s the race and gender of the customer attempting to enter.

I witnessed a man get denied for having a white shirt under his button up, but saw a white woman wearing a plain white crop top enter. I witnessed a man get turned down for wearing all black, but saw a white woman enter in an all black outfit. So what is the difference? I will let you decide.

In the United States, businesses generally have the right to enforce dress codes, but they must apply them consistently and cannot use them to discriminate against protected groups under federal, state, or local laws. If a dress code appears to be “made up” on the spot or selectively enforced, it is seen as discriminatory if it targets individuals based on characteristics like race, gender, religion, or disability.

Here are some key legal points:

1. Consistency: Dress codes must be applied uniformly to all customers. Arbitrarily denying entry to some people but not others is unfair treatment.

2. Discrimination: If a business uses a dress code as a pretext to discriminate based on protected categories (such as race, religion, sex, or disability), this will most likely violate the Civil Rights Act and other anti-discrimination laws.

All I’ve heard about this place is that they are very picky and racist and a lot of people getting drugged there. I really just took it as rumor until I actual experienced it for myself, they turned me away because I had on a Heavy white T-shirt. Not like some Hanes white T but a nice heavy white t. But they got people inside with white tank tops on. Then I was asking my friends about it and all of them seen plenty of times girls getting drugged there and I also had a friend of mine who got drugged there a year ago. If you like to be shoulder to shoulder with random people then have fun, but personally it’s really not really that worth dealing with. So many other places to go. This is the only place I’ve seen so far out here that is a complete clown fest.

This place is TOTAL CHEEKS! Waited in line for an hour just to watch the staff find it funny that they kept making us wait in line. The staff was horrendous (and was last time we went) and they have absolutely no concern for you unless you pay to jump the line. You will do much better to go across the street to Whiskey Bottoms which is a far superior experience. Do not waist your time with this disgusting excuse of a “good time”

This is the WORST place I have ever been to. I spent 2.5 hours in line and didn’t even get in. No one told us they were at full capacity and had to wait for people to come out. However, if you came out, you could still get back in without problem. So “full capacity” is a lie. The waiting line was so bad I had to close my eyes due to claustrophobia. Absolutely terrible experience.

Went here for the first time back in July & it was fantastic. The club was packed out shoulder to shoulder. The DJ was a 10/10 as well! Played all the of hits from all genres. ?
