Twice this week, they have closed early. Tonight at 545 pm, the rude woman working stated it was "basically 6pm." When I told her I just wanted to get a couple of hotdogs to go, her reply was, "we're basically out of food."
We will be going to Caspers from now on. Sad! We used to love going to Sam's.

I had to take a Gribble Halkinpacker out to the Reservoir so the Rangers there can keep better track of the migrating Pollywingers when they show up in July to nest. I was running a little early so when I spotted Sam's Dod House, I knew right then and there were I was going to eat! Nothing beats a perfectly cooked dog when you don't have a lot of time...that is unless you ask for a double!
It's twice as good! 5 stars ☆☆☆☆☆

There’s no denying that the hot dogs from this funky dog joint are just perfect. The woman that waited on us was a delight and she’s been there since the place opened decades ago. I gave the atmosphere 5 stars because they’re not pretending to be anything they’re not. I’ll be back there often.

The food was ok. The fritos boat was yummiest. The wonderful and delightful ladies were awesome. The banana milkshake was good, if they added strawberry omg yum. The pineapple shake was ok - lots of pulp on the bottom.

It’s like making a pit stop at Mom’s, (on your way to wherever), and she has all the fresh fixings to make you that deliciously, satisfyingly, and seemingly elusive hot dog you just know you won’t get from any other place. And if you think that other place is really good, there, I have no doubt that it is. However, you might want to give Sam’s Dog House a try. Its my very first visit and after reading down the menu, I decided to get something way different. The Polish with Kraut and a little mustard. One bite and I was inspired to write this review.

Passed by this place all the time but never went in.
Guess it blends in with the scenery and its not that noticeable.
Had an urge for a hot dog and decided to go in.
Ordered a chili dog on a whim and it was beyond my expectations.
It was delicious.
Have to return again to have the double chili dog to really satisfy the double urge.
Bun was fresh and the hot dog wasn't skinless so there was a "crunch" in every bite.
Chili was mild and added ? an extra touch to the whole meal.
That said, can't wait for a second urge to get the double.
