So amazing that we get to have this theater here in Santa Barbara. Always showing great movies. Everyone is very kind and the popcorn and goodies they have are always yummy. Highly recommend checking this place out.
They always have a director or an actor coming in to speak about their movie. It is a great thing that we get to experience because we get to learn more about the film through the eyes of the director. Roger is always asking such great and deep questions about the films and why they did what they did. It is a very pleasing experience to be a part of.

Best movie theater in town, hands down. Unlike other local theaters, the sound quality is excellent (I'm looking at you, Arlington). Beautifully renovated not long ago, with very comfy high backed seats, and set in a spectacular location with sweeping city and ocean views. Shows mostly art films you can't see anywhere else -- we just saw the owner nominated short documentaries. Highly recommended.

Great theater, best for movies that are short runs. Good popcorn too. Watched Driving Madeleine, French movie, subtitles, great music. Well made, would watch it again.

My first time back to the film festival in many years. The Rivera theater has had the chairs replaced since I was last there. Plenty of parking available. Interesting movies as always.

If you're looking to watch international, or Independent films the Santa Barbara international film festival Riviera theater is probably the best place to find movies or films to watch. I like the seating and the sound system. Although the price of the snacks is too high I often just sneak my own snacks in. I've even brought bottles of wine inside without any issue. Typically the other attendees are senior citizens. It's nice sometimes that there are no young kids being noisy here. Sometimes the senior citizens fall asleep though. I like this theater because it's high on a hill and it has great sunset views which are nice when you leave the theater
