My crew and I arrived the night before our scheduled hunt. The lodge was organized and clean. Sarah gave us a warm welcome and professionally completed paperwork. Rocky was our guide; we scored our first pig in about an hour. Rocky was highly experienced and had a lot of patience for new hunters. Field dressing was completed on the spot, and there's a shed next to the lodge where skinning and butchering could occur. The large freezer is available for meat storage until the day of transport. It was an enjoyable and rich experience!

My second trip with these fine folks and it was even better than last time! The guides are exceptionally knowledgeable and work really hard to make sure you get what you paid for. I like hunting with Rocky, he’s hysterical and takes the time to educate me on areas I could improve upon, which I greatly appreciate. Always an adventure, with beautiful scenery and wildlife throughout. Definitely going again next year, if not sooner! Highly recommend for beginner and seasoned hunters alike looking for a thrill in California. Thanks Schmidt Guide Services for another epic experience!

First time hunting with Schmidt and it was a fantastic experience, all around.
Booking: Sarah got us set up with a reservation in no time and helped us out with the questions we had about what to expect.
The Hunt: Luke had an impressive eye for hogs, spotting an ear and snout of a hog sticking out from behind a clump of sage at 530 yards. Then another 660 yards out mostly hidden by a rock. A short stalk later, we had two boars down.
The lodge: Awesome spot to come back to after the hunt. It has everything you need to whip up a meal for the group and if cooking isn't your thing, is a very short drive to local digs.
Overall, had a blast and will certainly be back!

A professional guide service With the results!
We were able to stay in a nice cozy home. The guys picked us up as scheduled and they’re number one goal was to get us our hogs..

Rocky V. was an excellent guide. Extremely knowledgeable of the wild hog behavior and the terrain. Everything you could ask for from a hunting guide.

I have never seen a guide put so much effort to get me on a hog. You're the man Rocky! The house was very clean and acommodations were top notch. I am absolutely coming back out again next year. Hands down the best outfitter I have ever been to. Thank you for an incredible hunting experience!! A+++
