I have taken several classes at SANCA (mostly aerial), and every class has been so much fun. They challenge me in just the right way: I am pushing myself and learning a ton. My instructors and classmates are really supportive, and it is simply the greatest way to spend an hour or two each week.

We've done it all at SANCA (and Emerald City) from the time my daughter was 3 years old: classes, camps, flying trapeze, birthday parties, and even the youth companies. All of the staff are welcoming, inclusive, and accommodating to students of all abilities, skill sets, and any kind of limitations. Birthday parties are small, well coached, and fun. Classes and camps are worth every penny. My daughter has seen tremendous growth not only in her skills but in her self-confidence. Just ask her about her sweet muscles. 🙂 Thanks, SANCA!

Did the Trapeze Party for my 30th birthday and it was the BEST experience I could've asked for. My party of 8 came in nervous and uncertain, and left confident, inspired, TRANSFORMED, and in awe of the instructors and their inclusivity, encouragement, and individualized care. We had a blast & It's one of the coolest things all of us have ever done. Thank you, SANCA/Emerald City Trapeze. We love you!!!

Taking classes at SANCA has made movement fun again! The coaches that I've worked with (Sara, Keller, Echo, Christine, and Dani) have all been awesome about meeting me where I'm at physically and emotionally--whether that's breaking down new tricks into smaller steps, helping me build the strength that I need, or getting me out of my head when I'm feeling anxious about trying a trick that scares me. I've been attending classes at SANCA for over a year, and am excited to keep learning in this inclusive, encouraging space!

Talk about a place that is so much more than what meets the eye. If you’re looking for a place to belong, be welcomed, feel safe and expand your strength and skills, look no further! My kids and I love SANCA and all it stands for. Give this place a try, with a class, workshop, event, donation, whatever it is, check it out! We love it here!

Sanca is my favorite place in Seattle and is currently responsible for most of the fun I have in my life.
My partner and I started by taking a trampoline class on a whim a couple years ago and by now we've taken 7 or 8 classes in a few disciplines, and we haven't gotten a dud yet. This is probably because the instructors are consistenly excellent (so far Keller for trampoline; Gabby for tumbling; Laura, Velibor, Jessie, and Adrian for partner acrobatics).
It's a very welcoming and nonintimidating space despite how talented some people in the community are. Some days we push ourselves to improve and some days we're just there to have fun, but both always feel welcome.

I started taking my daughter to SANCA around seven years ago because one of our friends asked us to go with them and we've never looked back! Once she "graduated" from Circus Buddies I signed myself up for general circus at the same time as her new class and we did that until COVID hit. We started her back up a couple of years later, and exactly a year ago tomorrow I started taking a Non-traditional Athletes class with Echo. I've since progressed into Beginner Aerial 1, and I have an alarm set for every sign up day to make sure I get into their class before it fills up (no kidding, one session filled up within five minutes)! There are folks who have been in this class just as long if not longer than myself, and it is such a joy to see us all progressing week to week, month to month.

Between myself, my daughter, and my four-year-old son, we've worked with at least a dozen different staff members and they all have been fabulous. My kids also go to SGA, but as long as our schedule allows, I sign them up for SANCA classes because it is such an inclusive environment and exposes them to people and activities they wouldn't otherwise interact with, and to help them internalize that circus is for Every Body.

I've taken many classes at SANCA, starting with circus sampler, through German wheel, partner acro, tightwire, mixed aerial, tumbling, and teeterboard. All the instructors have been fantastic at working with me at my level and with whatever fears and physical challenges I had at the time, with special thanks to Sara and Echo, with whom I've worked with longest!
