I love this hotel. And I travel a lot. I’ve been here 3 times now. Staff has always been very nice and helpful. Parking is great and feels safe, free charging for EV!

They have free activities like wine tasting in the evening and yoga in the morning.

Gym is also great and well equipped. Never tried the pool and jacuzzi but it looks welcoming.

I absolutely try to stay at this hotel when I need to travel to Mountain View!

From the moment you walk in, you’re greeted with warm smiles and a genuinely happy staff, setting the perfect tone for your stay. The room was spotless, and the bed—absolutely incredible. It was so comfortable that I’m seriously considering ordering one for my own home!

The amenities here are top-notch. There’s a well-equipped gym, complete with a sauna and steam room, plus a variety of fitness classes like yoga and Zumba. And if that wasn’t enough, they even offer a wine and cheese hour between 4 and 5 PM. To top it all off, they have a professional providing relaxing chair massages—an unexpected but amazing touch.

The staff truly go above and beyond. Nate and Patricia at the front desk were incredibly helpful, whether it was assisting me with the gym equipment or just ensuring my stay was seamless. I honestly can’t wait to come back!

Our stay at the Shashi Hotel in Palo Alto was a solid experience. Upon arrival, we discovered that the TV in our room wasn’t working, but the maintenance team came immediately and resolved the issue within minutes, which was very impressive. The front desk staff greeted us warmly and were incredibly helpful throughout our stay, making us feel right at home. Room service was also quick and efficient, adding to the overall convenience and comfort of our visit.

We ordered the Greek yogurt bowl and the pork sausage bowl, both of which were delicious and satisfying. The lemon ginger shot was a standout—we highly recommend trying it! The room was well-maintained, and the hotel was impressively quiet, with only the occasional sound of footsteps in the hallway. Overall, it was a pleasant and seamless stay, and we wouldn’t hesitate to return.

For a 5 star hotel, this place gives a motel sleeping experience. I was put in a room where the walls were so thin that I could hear the person above me breathing. Let's not even talk about how loud their footsteps are heard or how I got woken up to stomping twice. Also my room had a door in the wall to the room next door (? I know) so I could hear my neighbour having calls word for word. My general gut feeling is whoever commissioned and designed this hotel originally didn't think as hard as they should have about it and/or items were included as box checkers (pool? Check. Colour changing lights? Check. Auto moving blinds? Check.)

This hotel is held up by its hard working staff who turn over the rooms every day and man the ground floor amenities, and I sure hope management know that.

Thought the marketplace was also overpriced and cafe quality was average. However, to contextualise this review: Palo Alto and Mountain View don't have many nice hotels at all, period. So this is probably the 'best' hotel around. I'd probably come back again for business but only because of location, and only if I was on the fifth floor.
