I cannot recommend So-Cal Diesel Truck highly enough! My truck broke down two hours from my home, and I didn’t want to tow it all the way back just to figure out what to do next. Instead, I called this mechanic, and he went above and beyond to help me out. He was incredibly kind, professional, and informative from the start.

What really stood out was his honesty and fair pricing. I had spent $10,000 at a shop in the Inland Empire trying to fix recurring issues, and they never provided a permanent solution. This mechanic not only identified the root cause of the problem but also made a permanent fix that the other shop either couldn’t or wouldn’t. That level of integrity and expertise is rare these days!

Even though his shop is small and home-based, the quality of his work and affordability make it 100% worth it. You can absolutely trust him with all your diesel truck needs. From now on, I’m bringing my truck to him. Thank you for the exceptional service, fair pricing, and outstanding results. Highly recommended!

I own a 2011 Chevy Duramax 6.6 LTZ. I purchased it used, and shortly after, the CP4 grenaded, and so my story begins. I had taken my truck to another shop that had my truck for about 4 months, and upon return, I had the truck back and running with a CP3 conversion. Shortly after, my truck started throwing codes, loss of power, and overall running like trash.
The amount of fumes and smoke coming from the engine bay had me looking for immediate help, and that's where California Diesel Services came in. He took my truck in and pretty much had a diagnosis over the phone. In person, he confirmed what it could be. I had ordered the parts (EGR) pipes, and I believed he would need to repair them, but in my hurry, I ordered the wrong ones, although these would also be used in a performance upgrade.

The problem was the lower EGR bypass, which had cracked at the flex point. He let me know the issue, which was a loose pipe since the previous shop didn't button up the parts as they should have given the time and money spent. He ordered the correct part, installed the lower pipe, the upper ones I ordered, and replaced all gaskets. Like a true gentleman, he also cleaned the turbo and all the soot from the engine. He kept me updated through the entire process and had my truck back quick. I recommend his services, especially to any Duramax guys or gals out there. It's getting really difficult to find a truck surgeon willing and able to do this work, so a big thank you to him and a stamp of approval to anyone considering his services.

I don't often do reviews but the service I got from So-Cal Diesel and Truck was the best experience I have had in my 60 years of driving. I have a 2015 Duramax and got error codes from a faulty EGR bypass valve. The GM dealer gave me an outrageous estimate so I started looking elsewhere and found Louis and his company on Google. Louis gave me an estimate that was 40% of the dealer price. He did the work promptly and even picked up my truck from our RV park and returned it. Not only was his service great, but Louis does the work himself and is extremely knowledgeable. He explained everything he did and gave me a complete photo record of his work.

By far one of the best experiences I’ve ever had!!! Luis is an incredible mechanic, he knows his stuff. He fixed my 2006 GMC Duramax that had a blown up-pipe as well as cleaning the vanes in my turbo. He went out of his way to explain and send pictures while he was doing the repairs. I would recommend Luis to anyone that has a diesel that needs repairs!
