I just PCSed from Ft Wainwright, AK to Irwin after 4 years there. I was so excited to have a nail salon on post as I have been going every 3 weeks for acrylic refills for the last 3 years. The prices here compared to AK were so refreshing. I was able to get the highest option for pedicure, acrylic removal, and acrylic refill for $152 here. If I had done that in AK it would have been well over $200. I loved that they set a timer for the 20 min hot stone massage I paid for to ensure I was getting what I paid for which I have never experienced at any other salon. I made an appt at 4 PM on a Saturday the day before and immediately walked back to private room area where both my mani and pedi were done simultaneously. My manicure tech did an amazing job with the almond shape for my nails. My pedicure tech was phenomenal. It would have been 5 stars but instead of dremeling and soaking off my precious acrylics, they slowly peeled them off and it was extremely painful. My nails were already thin from years of acrylics which I knew, but they said peeling it off would help with the integrity of my nails, but they had to be completely cut off and dremeled after the peeling process anyways. I would have preferred the less painful option to remove the previous acrylics since I had already had acrylics for years and knew my nails were very thin to begin with. Other than that the service was wonderful. My nail tech even showed me a lot of really cool places around Southern Cali that our family might enjoy. They even offered a drink with the pedicure I chose. At every stage of the process both techs made sure I was happy with everything before moving forward. I will certainly be going back!

I loved my pedicure even loved the dip nails initially but $55 and they are already chipping after 2 days. I'm only leaving 3 stars because they were professional and friendly.

3 stars. I was hoping to leave more. My daughter booked an appointment to get her nails done on Wednesday before Prom the following Saturday with a specific easy design in mind to match her dress. My daughter showed the artist exactly what she wanted before the start of services. In the middle of her nails being done, the artist talked to the manager at the time, asking if she could do the design on two of her fingers, and the artist told my daughter they did not have time, just after they booked an appointment at 7:30 after closing time. I went to the Exchange, came back and paid the price of $58, paid a $1 for using my card + tipped $10 only to realize when I got home, they didn’t do the simple design she asked for. So, we went back and pointed out that we expected a design for two nails, especially if we notated ahead of services, we’re the ones paying for the services, and not to be told they didn’t have time after booking after hours. Needless to say much more, they redid the couple nails with the design and charged us $10 more for it and did a nice job on the two. I’m sorry the manager booked an appointment past closing time, but that’s not our fault. $79 later, design looked great, but the rest of the nails were thick and too wide. Maybe I’ll give them a second chance or I’ll fly down my other daughter to help.

Absolutely love coming to get my nails done every two weeks since November. The last time I got them done was Jan. 25th, it’s now February 28th and they have held up so well, no chipping or breaking (obviously definitely outgrown and need to be redone). I am very hard on my nails: cleaning constantly, washing my hands, doing batting practice etc. and they have survived! Staff has always been nice and welcoming every appointment I have had.

After 3 attempts, I won't be returning.

1) I went in for a dip manicure. The employees were very nice but my dip was the thinnest I have ever received, and it literally lasted 2 days. I called to voice my concerns and a lady fixed them and put a builder gel clear coat on top... it didn't fix the problem and they continued to break. $70 for 2 days worth of nails was super upsetting.

2) My husband and I had an appointment for 2 pedicures and we waited 35 minutes PAST our appointment time to be seen, however there were NO other clients anywhere in the building. They were hanging out in the break room the whole time we waited, and kept popping out once in a while to say "soon". I'm not sure what they were doing because there were no other clients there & the pedicures were not set up or ready for us when they finally called us back. Not off to a great start and the pedicure was NOT good. They grazed a file over our nails pretending to file, barely touched our feet or cuticles, and would NOT stop pushing for me to get gel polish after I told them no over 3 times.

3)I went in for an acrylic fill. The woman did not use a new nail file on me, painted over my cuticles, and my thumb nails look like a child shaped them, it's so embarrassing. She was kind in helping me find the glitter I wanted but the shape of some of these nails are so embarrassing.

I can't keep throwing away my hard earned money here, and I believe 3 tries is more than enough.

Overcharging for seriously subpar work. Was supposed to be “$40 and up” for a gel fill. Got charged $60 for a fill, nail repair and “French tip”. My “nail repair” was really just them cutting away the back end of two pointer fingers that lifted and refilling, not a replacement of the whole nail. My “French tip” really was just stripes of color along the edge of the nail that they were only gunna do one coat of until I insisted on another. Not to mention uneven, not to mention that because they didn’t have me wash my nails after filing BEFORE painting the nail, my black gel has debris specks everywhere where it should be glossy. Not mention they ruined their own product but not having me clean my hands of filing dust before hand. Filed under the nail AFTER polishing which opens up the possibility of chipping. Just a lot of bass ackwards work and quality, even when I spoke up it was brushed off, however politely, and overpriced considering all that. It was $40 for the gel fill $10 for supposed “nail repair” on two fingers and $15 for the supposed “French tip”. Will not be returning.
