I went for the LGBT country line dancing night and beginner lessons last Thursday night.. and I have to tell you… WOW!

I had the time of my LIFE! Everyone is incredibly friendly, open, and kind. It was my first time in the space and I’m absolutely coming back.

As someone with no previous country like dance or two step experience, I had so much fun dancing with everyone.. literally stayed until closing.

What a beautiful community and a great place to make friends. Makes you feel less alone and part of something beautiful and fun!

We came as three tourists, who had never tried line dancing at all in our lives, and had such a joyous and wonderful Sunday evening here. Everybody was so welcoming, friendly and above all incredibly patient and kind with us as we learned the steps. The beginner class was accessible and so fun, and then throughout the rest of the evening individual members would kindly teach us other moves and dance with us in an incredibly welcoming way.
It was such a beautiful and special atmosphere. Highlight of our 2 weeks away travelling across the PNW.

Sundance is a welcoming, inclusive country western dance club with a predominantly LGBTQA+ clientele. It mostly focuses on 2-step, line dancing, and West Coast Swing. It's a very friendly community. Cover charge is $7, and coat check is $3. There is a bar but this is not a place to predominantly drink -- you will look odd sitting at the bar all night. It's really for people to dance or take dance lessons (which are free and fun). Highly recommended for beginners. Don't be afraid to just jump in & try -- it's the kind of place that embraces that 😀. And at the risk of stating the obvious: If you're freaked out by men dancing with men or women with women, this is *not* your spot. Two step is the "slow, slow, quick, quick" style here, FYI.

Really fun! Open and welcoming group, easy to learn lessons, great bar pricing! I would recommend absolutely; I had very little experience, came to join friends who already danced some and felt very comfortable right away.

Fun! The line dancing and two-stepping lessons were great. Folks were really nice and friendly to newcomers. Best of all, people were very forgiving to those just starting to learn. Don't be shy, get your boots on and go!

I simply loved this place. I've never tried any 2-step or side dance before but queer tango. The teachers are amazing and LGBT friendly with lots of cool people to meet. If you are queer and want to try country dancing, that's definitely your place!
