This place is really unique and has a lot of history. I would recommend dining here for the rich history. There's a page on the menu all about the house.

We were greeted by Teresa's own granddaughter. Our large group was seated in the back room.

They have a large menu and everything comes with soup and salad. My friend and I decided to split our entree since our group ordered a few appetizers to share. The waitress asked if we wanted soup and salad for both of us (for the one entree order) so we said yes.

Beware! We were never told that it was an additional $21! I can understand $5 extra, but the $21 upcharge is a little ridiculous considering that the soup and salad came out in huge bowls served family style anyways. We did complain at the end when we were presented with the bill and discovered how much it was. It was taken off but the waitress wasn't happy about it.

The food was good but some thought theirs was a bit on the plain side. I liked my shrimp scampi dish. The rib eye was also good and a huge portion.

Where do I start? Everything was simply perfect. Enjoyed a before-dinner beverage at the bar and made new friends. The service was excellent, starting with our bartender and following thru with our server and bussers. All were professional, polite, and friendly. To the food: Well, just fantastic! It was truly an old world, Italian experience in the way the courses were served, up to and including the home cooked taste. We drove over 90 minutes to experience Teresa's, and we're not disappointed! First-time visitors, but that will change immediately with our next visit! Thank you, guys. We really enjoyed the experience!

My wife and I were in the Jackson area for my birthday, and based on the reviews and an overwhelming craving for Italian food, I decided Teresa's Place might be a good place to stop for a pre-birthday dinner.

The ambience of the place is perfect as a result of the color scheme and the lighting. The staff was mostly friendly, and the Christmas decor was lovely.

They served us bread not two minutes after we sat down, and that was followed quickly by some piping hot soup. About ten minutes later we had the calamari appetizer that we ordered. They also provided with a house salad to share. I ordered the linguine with clams as my entree, and my wife ordered the salmon. To finish it off, we let our waitress know that it was my birthday and we ordered a slice of chocolate cake to share.

Here are the items we ordered from tastiest to least tastiest:

1. Calamari: It was incredible. I can't say enough good things about it. The batter was perfectly seasoned and the calamari was the right texture. So good!
2. Salmon: Tender on the inside and a nice crust on the outside. Also nicely seasoned and yummy.
3. Chocolate cake: Every bit as good as the salmon. Spongy and not too rich, and the frosting was delectably firm and delicious.
4. Soup: Neither too bland nor too flavorful, but had just the right balance. Something about it seemed to incredibly healthy. I thought to myself, "If I had a cold, I'm pretty convinced this soup would reverse the effects."
5. Salad: Good salad! The dressing was perfectly balanced.
6. Bread: The bread was soft and pretty good. There was nothing that really stood out about it, but of course, the butter elevated it to the next level.
7. Linguine with clams: Good, but not among the best I have had. This was the only dish I needed to add salt to, as I felt there was just not enough flavor. I also thought that maybe the sauce could have been a bit thicker; it was a little watery. My wife had a small side of spaghetti with her salmon, and I thought her spaghetti was superior to my linguine. I wouldn't be in a hurry to order the dish again, but the clams were certainly very good.

All in all, we loved Teresa's Place and hope to return some day!

I enjoyed the salmon, salad and soup. The spaghetti side was OK and the bread was super market level. The oddest part of the experience is we had a reservation but when we got there we still had to wait 20 min for the first available table to seat a party of 6. So there does not appear to be a benefit to making a reservation. They also seem to try and hurry you through the meal.

This is my #1 go to for Italian food. They've been open since 1921 and their delicious food and phenomenal wine is completely out of this world. I felt like I traveled back in time sitting at the best table, next to the woodburning fireplace. I will be coming back 100% when I crave authentic Italian.

Waitress was very friendly and super sweet. Soup and salad were very good. Chicken Marsala was terrible and the pasta on the side was terrible. Atmosphere is very nice, old school, old Italian charm. Love it. Very disappointed in the main course.

Very cute place with lots of history. Original owner used to serve food to the miners who worked at the local mine. This restraunt is still family owned. It has a huge fireplace with lots of historical pieces of history on the walls. Family style dining done very well!!
