This is not my first visit. We’ve been here before and I do not recall most of the activities being out of order. The bartender Spencer was AMAZING! He was super friendly and it was a pleasure chit chatting with him. On another note, y’all need to fix the broken items. This place is not super cheap for things to be broken. IJS 🤷🏾‍♀️

October 2023 - The Shangri-La activity park is a really fabulous addition to the Shangri-La resort which is spectacular in its own right. Wish we'd had more time to spend here as there is an abundance of things to do.

Familiar with Shangri-La Estates as family downsized to a co-op here from homes in Oklahoma City and on Grand Lake before moving to AZ after some years, I already knew how special this area is at the base of Monkey Island. Our innkeeper down the road told us we had to go see it while we were there. Built in 2021, it was new to me and my partner, who was visiting OK for the first time.

On six and a half acres, there are inside and outside court games from tennis to basketball, volleyball in the sand, and trendy pickleball. There's even a miniature replica of Boston's famed Fenway Park for wiffle ball. Lawn games such as cornhole and shuffleboard are also here plus indoor games like pool, ping-pong and darts. Visitors can also entertain themselves with simulator bays and a large arcade with state of the art games including virtual reality. The activity park is open seven days a week year round.

For those who just want to dine or enjoy a drink, there is outdoor seating on the dock with firepits at the park and multiple restaurants in the resort. Nearby venues like Eddy's Lakeside Bar often feature live music and have complimentary slips for guests arriving by boat during the summer months when it is open.

Shangri-La is a favorite destination for golfers. Its new 18-hole Par 3 golf course that opened this year, named "Battlefield" in dedication to Oklahoma's veterans, also has a place to dine.

We loved hanging out here on our recent visit to Monkey Island!! Tried VR games for the first time, enjoyed all the arcade games, bar area, and patio. We enjoyed walking all over the grounds - it's a beautiful facility all around with something to offer EVERYONE!!!

Nice looking place and friendly bartenders but that’s the end of the positives. Some new management company has taken over and jacked the prices way up. You can buy 0.50 worth of frozen food for $20. They have football games on tv and pack the place and only staff one bartender. The poor bartenders try to keep up but it’s super slow because of management. Then they just randomly close the kitchen before halftime at 4 in the afternoon during an Oklahoma game. But don’t worry you only pay about $3,000 a year for a membership to be treated like this. On top of that if you tell Shangri La management they blame the patrons for all their shortcomings.

Everyone who works here is incredibly angry. I ts been this way since I’ve been coming here for the last 3 years. They all complain that they’re overworked and understaffed. They’re not just mad, they’re cussing mad. Idk how they fix this problem, but I’m not coming back until they do.
