Don't waste your money, its an empty bar the bouncer's are scaring off all the business. The bartenders are great but the bouncers are rude and the main reason nobody wants to go here anymore. Its one thing to do your job its another to be miserable and spend your time harassing paying costumers. Not good energy here, no energy at all really due to everyone being banned and nobody wanting to pay to get into a place that watches you like criminals. Cant have a good time here.

Honestly the majority of the bouncers are rude. This place is going out of business because they keep banning people for the smallest inconvenience. It’s the bouncers for me. They hold personal grudges and take it out on the clients. Not only that if you make them upset the’ll put you in a group chat and ruin your whole night everywhere down town. I’ve also been Harassed by one of their female bouncers she was off duty came up to me trying to start a fight saying I was flirting with her girlfriend who also works there which is not my type. Her gf (butch bouncer female) also came up behind her arms crossed like she’d let her do whatever she wanted. This female off duty bouncer was drunk and Continuously approaching my group saying that she worked there and was trying to start problems and assert her Dominance in an unattractive disrespectful ignorant way. At this point I won’t be returning to the beach or any of the connecting bars I’ve been treated disrespectfully harassed and as a long-term paying customer I feel like I deserve better. Even the staff that I’m friends with have said the same thing to me

I like it but too much of one variety of music. I mean come one it's St. PATTY day and it was just that one type of music. No offense, I like it but if it the last 2 hours of it. I'm done. There was 1 song and then the rest is catered to only that one group. I'm kinda tired of it. You guys need to change DJ or if not, change it up. How can the Univeristy bar have better music and it's not a dance club.

One of my favorite clubs in all of Northern California! Amazing staff from the DJ's to the Bar Tenders. Would recommend this place to anyone! Eclectic always provides great hospitality.

Me and my cousin had a fun experience in the VIP section upstairs on 10/29/2022. The best part was I got lots of attention wearing my Pennywise costume. Downstairs however was too crowded with everyone dancing.

Absolutely the worst experience with a bartender we’ve ever had. The blonde bartender we had was clearly high on some kind of stimulate, and was very unprofessional. We tried to get our I.D back to close our tabs when she completely ignored me and my boyfriend, then instead of helping us, decided to call security making a complete fool of herself and the bar itself in my opinion. Definitely not going back if that bartender is there. The worst part was that when we first arrived, the security profiled my friend saying he was “gang affiliated” which was complete discrimination.

The staff is absolutely amazing. However the vibes they're going for are confusing. It's got all the works for a nightclub but no obvious dance floor. There's pool tables and arcade games but I don't know if you can play them since nobody was. The bar was insanely busy, it seemed understaffed, and there were spilled drinks everywhere.

Fun place, great for dancing, mostly pop and hip-hop. Prepare to be triple-ID'd, regardless of your age. Very nicely offer free water bar during dancing. Some of the bouncers are a little hostile, rest of the staff is polite.
