Avoid This Venue!!!!
The location may be prime, but don’t be fooled. Here’s what you should know before booking:
1. Dirty Floors: I wiped the floor with a tissue, and it was disgusting. If you’re planning a wedding here, your beautiful dress will likely end up black by the end of the event.
2. Hidden Cleaning Fees: They charge $350 for cleaning, but this doesn’t cover anything. You’ll end up carrying your own trash to the dumpster. Be prepared for extra charges on top of that.
3. Broken Tables: Inspect the tables closely before you book. Many of them are in poor condition.
4. Poor Lighting: Most of the lights don’t work, which is a nightmare for photography.
5. Terrible Customer Support: Megan, the receptionist, is particularly unhelpful. She doesn’t respond to messages, emails, or phone calls, and is rarely in the office. A bad employee can ruin a business.

Granite City's event center is a top notch facility. It appears newly remodeled with a color scheme that allows you to make your particular event fit whatever mood you're looking for. The downtown location, next to the stunning Lake Natoma Inn, is perfect for adding a hint of elegance and class to your event. Kyle has been nothing but friendly and professional. I highly recommend.
