I was there for I Hate Hamlet over a week ago and loved it so much I returned the following week for one of the last performances. What a clever playwright and a wonderfully funny cast! The volunteers were very helpful (handing out will call tickets, making snacks and drinks available for a donation, offering opportunity drawing items, as well as directing us to our seats). The temperature inside was very comfortable even when it was cold and rainy outside. The seats were comfortable and there was sufficient legroom. I was also grateful for the handrail on the stairs. 5 stars!

I Hate Hamlet is now my ultimate favorite play of all time. Beating out, yes, Phantom. My supreme thanks to Lisa Sailors, who turned in an amazing performance, for inviting us 🙌 👏🏾

This is a very special and rare community theater. All volunteer supported. Non-profit. Amazing shows and actors. ACT award winner.
Tiny prices. Tiered theater seating with a classic raised stage. Live performances are way better than movies, and for a similar price you get a much more immersive experience!
Great parking, and easy trolley access!
Lamplighters’s has been East County’s community theater for 85 seasons and counting. Help us keep this going another 85. Give it a try, you won’t be sorry.

Fantastic theater for it's lovely intimate size this weekend's show is only there for two weekends. The acting was incredible 😍❤️ just saw another show which makes four fantastic evenings in the last few months at this theater. Each one was memorable and I am recommending this very highly to anyone who likes excellent Community Theater no wait let me make that excellent theater because the quality of the acting and the shows is truly excellent. If you like theater check this place out. Plus they like to take a chance on new writers. Two thumbs up for sure

Lamplighters Community Theatre has really upped their game. Their productions this season have been outstanding. Honky Tonk Angels was stellar. They are attracting excellent talent and high caliber performers. As a season ticket holder, I recommend attending a show and supporting local theatre.
