We had the time of our lives celebrating our wedding reception at the Palace Theater! Our guests still can’t stop talking about what an incredible venue it is. From the beautifully crafted drinks to the impeccable service, every detail was thoughtfully executed. The casino games, musicians, and talented actors added such a unique, lively energy to the evening, making it unforgettable for everyone.

Geoff was great to work with and made the entire process seamless. He was responsive and ensured everything ran smoothly, which allowed us to fully enjoy our special day.

The Palace Theater brought our vision to life and made the celebration feel not just fun but deeply meaningful. It’s truly a one-of-a-kind venue, and we couldn’t have pictured a better place to mark such a special moment in our lives. Highly recommend!

Would not recommend hosting any event here, especially a wedding reception. The vendors themselves as well as James during the event were wonderful, but I cannot say anything else good about this place. The day of our event was a logistical nightmare. Every concern I had leading up to the event came true. There were no instructions for entering the venue beforehand to set up. A walk through and run of events should have been scheduled well in advance, instead, it just didn't happen at all. It was pure chaos and stress that could have been easily mitigated and wasted the beginning of our event time. There was no proactivity in managing the people traffic, no planning behind how to get 150+ people through one entry, which caused a long wait to get in and a line up the stairs that overflowed onto the sidewalk. There was a lack of guidance and signage, so many guests missed some key spaces entirely, which meant we paid for dessert and open bar that people didn't even know about. Communication was also extremely frustrating leading up to the event. Megan, our planner wasn't paying attention to details, making us resend information we already sent and other times there was a long gap in communication. Josh, our salesman, skimmed over simple details, like who was sending him an email. Josh touted that the venue was a one stop shop for everything, that I wouldn't need a planner, but that was just a sales tactic I fell for. He would say things verbally to make it sounds like he was really "helping" us out, he'd brush over the details and say to talk to the planner and then the planner would say to talk to Josh and I'd continue to get the run around. Overall, his attitude and tone was quite combative after we paid. There should have been clear guidance on food and drink guest count deadlines to avoid the overpayment that happened, since they don't believe in refunds after overpayments. We asked Josh to communicate with my husband and when emails were sent clearly signed by my husband, Josh would continue to address the emails to me and call me, every single time. The photographer was completely unqualified for the simple photo booth photos. She had no knowledge on how to quality control the photos--a simple test beforehand would have made it obvious that the photos were not acceptable. Our guests had to advise her on how to adjust the lighting multiple times and she still didn't get it. The worst part was that my husband has been consistently reaching out to Josh for 2 months now since the day after the reception and we still haven't received a response about receiving a digital copy of our wedding reception photos.

False Advertising and Rude Management

I went to the show expecting to see Kevin Blake, as advertised, but instead, they had a completely different performer, The Reality Thief. I specifically bought tickets to see Kevin Blake, so it felt like a bait-and-switch.

To make matters worse, when I brought this up to the manager, he was incredibly rude, telling me that since we stayed for the show, we had no reason to complain. The fact is, we didn’t realize the switch until the show started, and at that point, it felt too late to leave.

For $200 I expected better. This kind of service and attitude is unacceptable. I won’t be coming back, and I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone.

Disappointing Experience - Wrong Performer and Missing Drinks

I recently attended what was supposed to be a show by illusionist Kevin Blake, but to my surprise, the performer on stage was someone entirely different – Brad Barton The Reality Thief. I specifically booked this event to see Kevin Blake, so it was frustrating and disappointing to end up with a completely different act.

To make matters worse, my partner and I had pre-paid for four cocktails, but only received three. The cocktails were $100 for two people, and the show tickets were $200 for two, so the night was already a pricey investment. Adding to this, we also spent $80 on Uber just to get there.

Overall, this was a huge letdown. The venue needs to do better with transparency about who is performing and ensure customers get what they paid for. I’d recommend avoiding this place unless they make serious improvements to their organization and customer service.
