Great place to visit! Walk around the lake and trails. Enjoy Music at the Ranch. Celebrate the Best Dam Dinner. Ride the train and enjoy the historic exhibits. Come with family, friends and pets. Free parking.

This is a wonderful historic home. The inside is like walking into the 1800's. The grounds are gorgeous and they have concerts and festivals. It's right next to the Goleta train Depot museum . Good spot to take the kids and explore the property.

Went to Stow House for their Sunday activities. Enjoyed a free tractor ride and got to enjoy a goat birthday party. Such a great place!

Learn a history of Stow House built in 1872 by Sherman P. Stow (1851 - 1907).

Built in the late 1800's with many additions since. Tours at 2 and 3 PM so plan accordingly or you can not get in.

Massive arboretum on the grounds to explore.

The farm area is only open on Sunday.

One of the things I have never done is go around the interior of the house.
Looking at the history and photos of the place, it does look like a great place to visit.
Even if you visit and place is not open, the grounds are impressive with a lake in the middle.
Easy access, with a nice parking lot, when a 24/7 toilet.
Other things at the property are the railroad museum, lots of paths some through wooded areas, the Goleta Valley Historical Society, check the map.

Just a little point, I lived on the other side of the property (La Patera Ln) for over 16 years, and in Goleta for over 20 years.
One day I will go inside!
