Oscar, our server, made our evening very special. We loved what we ordered, tasted so good. Drinks were delicious and came in large goblets!! We enjoyed the outside seating and ambiance. We highly recommend TQLAS!!

Just finished a dining experience at TQLAS in Old Town La Quinta
I really wanted a shrimp cocktail the authentic flavor kind
Not on the menu (not a problem)
The chef came out Sergeo and made one that tasted authentic (yes) that vacation flavor. He than checked about the flavor- Where do you find talent like this.
Manuel our server-spoiled us with attention- maybe he had others but I could tell as he waited on them that his attention to detail was incredible.
Can’t wait to go back.

I would highly recommend this place for anybody looking to have a great experience in a laid-back atmosphere. The food was phenomenal, and the service was exceptional. Oscar took such good care of us, and went above and beyond. Grab a seat on the patio during happy hour for an exceptional margarita. Rim it with Tajiin and you won’t be disappointed!

Food was great until I found a hair in my food. Completely lost my appetite. The situation was handled very professionally by our server. I hope this was a one off situation and hope this doesn’t happen again. The server was great and definitely helped make the situation better.

I never ever leave reviews
But this one had to be done.

We were a walk in and were seated shortly.
Just a simple party of two adults and one toddler.

We ordered our drinks(one mocktail and one regular cocktail) and proceeded to look over the menu.
They don’t have a kids menu but offered a quesadilla which we ordered for my daughter

Waited roughly 20 mins for drinks
And when we tried to order menu items our server would come back and inform us the item we ordered is no longer available

When the quesadilla finally arrived for my daughter the only thing done well were the French fries.
The cheese was half melted in between the two tortillas

The items that were able to make it to our table for the adults were clearly just reheated and lacked flavor
When we got our check, there was an item left on there that we never received and the mocktail was a whopping $14 when the cocktail was priced at $16.

I had an awesome experience at TQLAS in La Quinta. Most importantly so did my daughter for her 14th birthday. The staff is very polite and quick to your services. The food was amazingly tasty. I'll definitely be coming back.

When you think of tequila, you assume it's a Mexican restaurant. But now under new ownership, new Chef, it's menu is a tad more eclectic. It's a mix of ingredients from India and Southwest. You will either love the interesting combinations of ingredients or feel deceived that it's not a true, authentic Mexican restaurant. And you will know right off just by the name of the dishes listed in their menu...

Great service for sure. Welcoming atmosphere. Ordered a Chile Relleno entré, different but flavorful. The sides that came with it were rice and beans. Disappointed with the beans. How can anyone mess those up? I guess it happens. But that's how I knew it wasn't authentic Mexican food. Regardless, everyone enjoyed their meals.

Parking is bad. Arrive early.

Stopped in while shopping in old town for a quick lunch.
Ordered avocado tacos and spicy shrimp tacos.
Tacos do not come ala cart, you must get a meal, even for lunch. (Beans/rice)
Avocado tacos had one slice of avocado, spicy shrimp tacos, good flavor, but NOT spicy.
When ordering, we were told we could not mix-and-match our tacos, fortunately, waiter came back and said he would do us a favor and let us do it this time. No where on the menu does it say that, actually the opposite. Chips and salsa good. Chips appeared to be homemade. Salsa very mild, good flavor.
Hibiscus margarita was excellent! Fun and delicious!
Restaurant was clean, pleasant atmosphere and staff was nice enough.
Good for a quick lunch didn’t feel like hanging out and having more drinks. Maybe just caught them on an off day.
