4 stars for the hospital all overall. But if I could specify a 5 star reward to this place it would be placed up the nurse in Mental Health "David". He has the biggest heart out of anyone I have ever met. That guy makes sure I am taken care of and he makes sure I am not forgotten. 200% all the way kudo's to David. My partner and I both have been helped by him and we both agree that he makes us feel cared for, and he has helped us a ton in our struggle to understand our mental disabilities and move through society with them. On top of that I would like to also shout out the whole front desk staff in the mental health department. Y'all the real MVP's out here.

My son came back from Afghanistan and he was just different. So different that love, care, rest and understanding could not fix his issues. They have been there for us in ways I did not know I needed. He has been to rehab a plethora of times. Every time he is a little more stable. We have been encouraged by the staff, we have been educated by the staff. They support the family as well as the veteran. The ER services are so quick, I could not believe. He is always treated with so much understanding and respect that he does NOT get in regular civilian life. He suffers from mental illness (PTSD) and often that makes life harder.

I’ve belonged to three different VA systems with one being on the east coast. I’ve also visited three others. The Fayetteville VA Center is hands down the best I have been to. The complex is very nice and updated. The people are just so helpful, friendly, and amazing. They really go above and beyond to take care of our needs as veterans. Glad they are my team!!

My father a Navy Veteran passed away in June 2024. Now all the sudden the VA is billing us for charges that are 3 years old. When I called to inquire about the bills I was hung up on 5 times and never called back. When I was finally able to speak with someone in the billing department, they could not tell me what the charges were for. Apparently they can just send bills out without an explanation of services and expect you to pay. This is the last time I will pay them if they can't or won't provide information. The VA has failed so many Veterans and these are people who served our country for the freedom we have now. Our government needs to stop with the bickering about whether your a Democrat or Republican and do what we elected them to do. I'm speaking of our Congress and Senate.

This is probably gonna be the most scathing review I’ve ever written Y’all are horrible like I cannot stand you any other VA has been willing to help me with anything I needed. The ER staff are extremely rude and abrasive over the phone.I very well may have an incurable disease that could either make my life difficult to live or end it. All I wanted was some peace of mind bc I have been panicking for days nonstop bc I’ve heard nothing. I know the test take time and I am scared. Absolutely no compassion at all. I am a nurse and I would never raise my voice to a patient. That is not my job and it’s not yours either. I just wanted help and I am scared to ever come back or ask you guys for help again. I literally want to switch to a VA 5 1/2 hrs away bc of how I was treated. Do better. To the nurse that yelled at me I hope you have the day you deserve. I hope no compassion is brought to your doorstep in ur time of need. Honestly I don’t even think you should be a healthcare professional. honestly see a therapist. I was audibly terrified over the phone you have no critical thinking skills whatsoever. Idk if you remember but critical thinking is imperative to nursing. Because I was an inconvenience to the er you dismissed me you are sick. I sit here panicking in my car bc of you crying and balling my eyes out. In the words that you yelled at me “sir this is the ER your PA is gonna have to call you tomorrow” well I hope he does and I hope you know you caused and soul misery and fear. The opposite of medicine and nursing. And don’t say you couldn’t of helped me. I know you could of you just didn’t want to bc you are lazy. I’m not stupid and don’t forget I’m a healthcare professional too ? who has worked in an er and another nurse helped me with the same request I gave you the day before. If they wasn’t suppose to then ? why is your department breaking VA regulations and policies? If there is no policy then why did you lie to me? Do you think you can do what you want? As far as I’m aware that’s how people die. Judging from many of the other reviews I’ve seen it looks like some people have died for that exact reason. Have a bad day I hope bedbugs infect your home

This is one of the most incompetent, disorganized VA facilities I have ever had to deal with. There is a nurse on one of your teams that the VA has stopped all opiate prescriptions. NOT TRUE! This same narcissistic soul also told me I could drive 46 miles in less than thirty minutes. Of course this is not true! And just yesterday, they forced me into the long drive for a blood pressure check. When quizzed, about what the appointment was for, they lied and was very vague. This kind of treatment is uncalled for. !

These folks treat veterans with dignity and respect, traits sorely missing from other VA centers in the state, unfortunately. I'm happy and confident as a patient at this facility.
