Great museum, with a great tour guide. The tour guide really gets you to sympathize and put yourself in the refugees shoes. Overall great find and great environment.

My Vietnamese immigrant parents really resonated with the museum, which had fascinating artifacts and stories. The biggest artifact is a rare original wooden boat used by Vietnamese boat people to escape the country decades ago. The president and founder lead us through the museum, explaining the exhibits with lots of enthusiasm. The purpose of the museum is to ensure that people know the harrowing stories of Vietnamese immigrants, and that future generations of Vietnamese people know the heritage of their ancestors. Very emotional and inspiring.

This place was hard to find and parking is nonexistent, but once you get inside, this museum is truly a hidden gem. The collection they have on display is thoughtful and the guided tour really helps you piece together the story of the people better than simply looking at the artifacts alone. Our tour guide was also a great conversationalist which elevated the whole experience. <3

I came here with my parents and it was a good experience. I think it’s important maintain history and the artifacts that show the dark side of our past. Especially important is to maintain and preserve the point of view of South Vietnamese. Stop by to learn even if you’re not Vietnamese ! They welcome everyone.

I came to the museum because I was always interested in learning about the Vietnamese Refugee experience not just in the United States,but everywhere around the world. I learned about the history about the refugees went through during the escape and many other things. I really believe that the Vietnamese Heritage Museum has a lot of potential to thrive and become well known everywhere throughout the world.

I decided to visit on a whim, and was given a very detailed tour from the president of VHM, who was very kind and lovely to speak with. This is such a wonderful space that has worked hard to preserve artifacts and stories from the Vietnamese refugees. If you are interested in learning more about these histories, I highly recommend stopping by!
