Down at the foot of Commercial Street on the West waterfront is a small bar and grill across from the Pacific Seafoods processing plant. Parking spaces are on all sides and the waterfront trail is right there although there is no view of del mar. The small noisey space had been updated and the seating is all high top stools at tables and the full bar. There are plenty of draft taps and bottles. High mounted TVs display sports.
Food is served on a paper covered metal tray on bare wood tops with paper napkin wrapped metal utensils. The menu features fried food and sandwiches with Cuban flair. We had lunch and it was busy, but the lone server did an amazing job handling the whole room including the bar.
We had fish and chips (20), a sandwich 16, a bottle of corona 4, and draft beer 7 (Pint of north coast old Rasputin). The food was mostly excellent. The fish batter was crispy as well as the fries and tots. The "reubano" sandwich was fine, however it was thin on protein. The pan Cubano was the main feature, but could have used more fat in the grilling. I asked twice for Dijon which I loved, and it's lateness can be forgiven because of the high customer to server ratio.
We plan to return to sample the fish tacos and a regular Cubano sandwich.

Great food, great service. Recommend the macaroni and cheese. Bar seating or table seating is available, but entry is 21+. My only issue is the bathrooms are a bit funky and could use a remodel. But that’s minor.

Dive bar with excellent food! Would totally recommend. But I do wish they had a better cider selection. They only have 2. Their sweet potato tots are second to none!

I tried this place out on a local lady's recommendation. The bar area was exactly that - a bar, but in the back are tables and a shuffleboard (free to play! Yay!) I had the fish and chips (fresh and fried just right, came with a delicious cocktail sauce, tartar sauce and ranch dressing), Caesar salad (big slices of parm in there), and huge Firecracker shrimp (with an amazing crust and fresh, fruity salsa). The servers were attentive and sweet. The prices were very reasonable. I'd definitely go here again.

Great food and friendly staff. Nothing like a plate of deep fried Oreos to set you straight. Firecracker shrimp are the best! Great selection of beers on tap. Clam chowder is amazing as well.

Best bar that serves food in the area. The food is awesome, drinks are quick, and the patrons are generally mature and fun. Sit at the bar to have a convo with a local and for the fastest service. They also have tables if you have a group with you.
I recommend the firecracker fish tacos, club salad (it's huge), chili, vista burger, or chicken sandwich.

You guys! We needed Linner before our 2 hour drive to Whitethorn, having trouble picking a place I was like let’s just go here.

Such a great idea. I feel like this is a locals hang. Maddie was great, friendly and quick.

Calamari was crispy, the sauce was bomb!
Fish & Chips- they did the classic perfectly. The sweet potato tots are a sleeper here, I feel like they are made in house and dear lord so good.

Shrimp po-boy - hubs really like it. Big ole battered prawns on a soft toasty bun. Sweet potato fries were perfect.

We both had their honey mustard to dip our fries and tots in. Dang yall! I think they may home make all their sauces including tarter and ranch.

Def pop in here!
