I love this place. Nice scenery clean rooms. Very helpful and friendly staff. One of best things is they are pet friendly. My puppy loves them. I even had a chance to meet and talk with the owners. I will be visiting them again. I just can't say enough about the service I've gotten here. If your looking for a quiet place to relax or vacation in this is it!!

This is a beautiful little lodge, which is an understatement for a very fabulous small cabinish rooms with large bathroom / shower and bathtub, and a double vanity. The rooms are very spacious, in the bathroom is very big as well. The rooms have sliding glass windows that lead to a wooden deck in a beautiful mountain scenery where you can hear the river flowing from. Is the staff are amazing and wonderful. I'm sure to go back soon, and you should too.

Fantastic views and sounds of the river from our private balcony, plus an in room fireplace, twin vanities, separate soaking tub and walk in shower…. Everthing exceeded our expectations, especially for the price! The location is great, just outside of town so quiet, but ten minute walk to store and restaurant, twenty minute walk to center of town. AND the staff is super friendly!

We arrived without reservations on a dark & rainy night a closed office, but there was a sign and phone number that we called and we were checked in remotely. The door was unlocked for us and the heat was on. We stayed in the "RiverView" (105) room. It was cozy with a gas fireplace and balcony overlooking the river. The bed was comfy with plenty of blankets. There were complementary waters, snack bars and hot chocolate. In the morning light we explored the grounds a bit. There is a staircase down to a path that leads to the river. The price was affordable. The room was clean and we were delighted. We will stay here again if we pass this way.

The whispering pines is a perfect place for rest and relaxation. The room was cozy and had the essentials needed for a comfortable stay.. microwave, fridge, coffee pot etc. |the balcony was beautiful as it overlooked the Kern River and the mountains. There are nice walking paths on the ground, and even has a nice pool! |My husband and I will definitely be back

This is a wonderful retreat on the Kern River. Clean rooms, excellent service and a prime location. I’ve stayed in a few places around and in Kernville, and this is by far my favorite. The price is low considering the quality of the establishment and the location. Do yourself a favor and make a reservation.

This is such a beautiful piece of Kernville, just minutes away lake Isabela and several attractions along the Kern River. The host is very kind and hospitable. I can’t say enough good things about this lodge, you will have to come and check it out for yourself! 8 acres of private property with plenty of trails to explore, picnic areas, and also private access to the river with great views!

My wife and I stayed here for one night but wished it had been for a week. Room was clean and well equipped. The view from the back veranda was amazing. We asked the lady at check in about restaurants and she told us to go to Ewings which we did and it was great.
